@@bred_602 I don't think it was really impossible, just very impractical, very expensive and very useless. In the 80s they were able to squeeze almost 500hp from a 1.8L 4cyl Delta S4, which would still be insane in 2022 if you think that people are losing their minds for the 2L 3cyl 600hp Gemera (which IS insane). In '85 (I think) there was a Benetton open wheeler with 1.300+ hp. It's never really been hard to pump out huge amounts of horsepower from an engine, but it's pointless if you can't keep it on the road, and that's the technology they were missing back in the day (suspensions, trasmissions, tires...), imagine a 1.500 hp car with an old manual trasmission and drum brakes 🤣💀

@@r129r16pfl yeah but not every car is gonna weigh 660 kilos, most of those cars are downright uncomfortable. No one mm of sound deadening and not 6 inches of ground clearance, no AC or heat, and not even a full glovebox could be argued to be just as stupid if not more stupid in a road car than 1000 or even 2000 or even 16,000 horsepower. You can feed horsepower in on the road if ur a good driver then unleash the beast on track, you can’t add more practicality when u want it. Additionally it’s Power to weight not just power. The T50 has INSANE power to weight ratio because of it’s low weight and medium power, but if it didn’t have THE SINGLE Lowest weight of any car with an MSRP above 1 mil, it would feel like a V6 Camry with the amount of horsepower it currently has. The horsepower factor and weight are inseparable yeah the same PTW with different weight will feel different (for example T50 vs Chiron) but really PTW is an inseparable derivative of it’s source values. The weight of say the: tuatara, Venom F5, Jesko, Evija and Valkyrie are all over the place relatively as are the weights but they feel like roughly similar cars in a straight line with differing cornering, because PTW scales directly with speed, but not singly Power or weight because are specifically relative to each other. If there’s a anything I said here that’s a little too stats major, I’d be happy to explain.

@@bred_602 I hope that we get 10,000 by the end of the 21st century and hopefully 100,000 by the end of the 22nd. The fastest roller coaster goes 150 mph which we have beat easily, however the fastest accelerating does 0-118 in 1.8 seconds. Time to step it up engine makers!!!

@@patchoulicyanide This is true. However, it still isn't worth £2 Million. They could easily half that and still turn a good profit. They decide not to in order to ensure only a certain clientele have a chance (that being extremely wealthy people who have bought a bunch of cars from them before, so Ferrari knows it can pull the wool over their eyes and they'll still pay it). You could have 5 Aventador SVJ's for the same money, or a DB5, Audi R8, 575M Maranello and a 918 Spyder and still have a fair chunk of change. Or even a house with a triple garage and trio of classics or sports cars to go in there and STILL have change. My point is that whilst it is a beautiful car, I cannot justify the price tag. Something like the Koenigsegg Gemera, or even the Maybach Exelero I can justify the price for, but not this.
