It's especially hard to say they were groundbreaking when you take into count what the prog bands were starting to do with rock music in that era. That's groundbreaking. And what I meant by not special is they made decent but repetitive music with poor vocals, really nothing remarkable when compared to their peers. I really doubt they would get as much recognition if there wasn't the myth of them ''making'' metal.
