Dr Kate scored 💯% I learnt the following: *Remove the grafting tape from the seedlings 2-3 months after the seedling has been successfully planted. Failure to do so will choke and eventually kill the grated Wambugu stem. *Do not allow branches or leaves of the stock to grow. It will kill the grafted Wambugu stem. Therefore, prune every growth below the grafting point. *Do not allow young seedlings to grow flowers too early. Pruning the flowers allows healthy growth of branches so you can have more apples at maturity. *Water regularly without waterlogging the plants. *Use mulching to reduce evaporation and frequency of watering. *Do not intercrop Wambugu Apples with maize. The pollen from the maize will corrupt the flowers of the apple and cause the poliination to fail and flowers to eventually abort.
