A2 Omega Custom Bat Profile 2022

Here is my review of the A2 Omega Custom Bat Profile Akshay from New Zealand had sent to me for review. It was a custom profile with some massive specs requested, however, being butterfly willow, which is heavier it required some concaving to come in under 2.11 and still be massive.
The bat was well balanced, had great ping and had big specs for weight. I overlooked a few craftsmanship issues delivering my opinion as the value and performance far outweighed these issues. The finishing of the bat would put many $1000 plus bats I have seen to shame at a fraction of their cost, to be honest. If the bat maker can sort out these issues then I would have no trouble recommending it.

This is the first video that I got almost all the technical hiccups since upgrading to a live switcher sorted out.

We have been stocking A2 for a while now and the performance on all of their bat's is very good. The quality throughout is up there with the very best out there in my opinion, Arindam is a great guy and very passionate about his brand. Lovely company to work with. A2 is making high quality custom bats with good prices. As you mentioned, their finishing and pressing is really top notch. The one i checked with the similar weight and performance was bottom heavy due to that thick spine running to the toe. I fixed that with some counter balance on the handle knob. I never got along with the butterfly stain bats due to that hard sound it makes when hitting the stain. Amazing review as always.

Thanks Jahmed. I think the stain needs to be on the base of the toe or high on the bat. I had one with the bar stain in the playing area and it made a hammer on anvil sound. No doubting the grain structure on them. If the stain is on the back that’s even better.

@@CricketBatInfo Stains are much harder and stronger so i agree with you for having these at the toe or near stickers.. That super hard sound bugs me. Grains are usually very nice on these.

Looks a high quality product, some of these smaller bat maker are streets ahead of the more established brands, because they take more time and care.

Super review!!!! I would love to try a butterfly willow bat, but I know the crappy ball quality in the US will break it the first time I take it out in a game. Keep up the great work #KUDOS

Well if you playing with cheap balls, this is a Cheap bat. Do the conversion from NZ$315 to $US. And its knocked. Would you rather be that dude with the $700+ bat facing those rocks? butterfly willow is tough.

I am quite partial to butterfly willow bats. Still have a great SS master butterfly bat that has performed very well for a long time. Nice bat this one!

Got to get me a butterfly bat one day. And the price is brilliant. Supposed to be top performance off the stain. Not sure why pros aren’t seen using in T20 etc though?

As I said it's heavy and they are there to sell bats. No point giving them willow you cannot sell at premium price.

Other then the weight of under 1250g and butterfly willow was this really a custom bat? Edges not what was asked for, not full profile which was asked for.

I'm only quoting the survey the owner completed. You can ask for a pink unicorn but at the end the fact remains it has nice grain structure, pings and is balanced albeit a bit off. Full with big edges hahahahaha here's $280. What you didn't provide my custom requirements.

I bought one and paid $500 when it was delivered it was an absolute dud. They show me 1 bat when it was made then I was delivered a completely different bat.

It was about 12 months. I told as many people as I could just to let them know as a buyer beware. The grains were different, the stickers were different and I had my name on the handle and the one I received didn’t. All I wanted was the bat I purchased. After months of stalking them they contacted me and wouldn’t do anything until I paid for it to be returned as which I refused. The silly thing is that I have all the photos and videos to prove it.
