I love most of the characters in this. Charlie is such a kind, optimistic soul and her singing is absolutely beautiful. Vaggie is the perfect supportive girlfriend for her. Angel Dust is just plain hilarious, but also pretty tragic. And Alastor is so delightfully terrifying and his 1920's radio announcer voice is amazing. I'm so glad it's finally getting a full series.

Me too! the characters really subverted expectations and left a memorable impression, so I can see why it was picked up by A24. I'm kinda glad I watched it late because 4 years is a looong time to wait for more of this show.

The only problem i see with Charlie's offer for Alastor, is that she said "As long as you desire". So she can't brake the offer, it's up to Alastor to decide when he doesn't want to "help" anymore. Probably should have leave the door open for herself to be able to brake the contract. But at least she didn't make a deal, so hopefully Alastor can't make it a chaos for everybody.

Also a thought. Alastor with all the power and shadow minions, reminds me to Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog. So maybe he made llike a deal with something, giving him the power? Like he is really into making deals, so who knows.

Fun facts about Alastor: -He was a radio host/serial killer from New Orleans in the 1910s, 20s and early 30s (hence the voodoo vibe he gives and symbols that sometimes show up behind him, nah hes not hitler lmao) He died in 1933. Exact cause of death is unknown but I think Viv mentioned in one of her streams that it was police and police dog related which explains his distaste for canines. He was probably also shot in the head since you can see a red x on his forehead during the final scene. -Alastor is half creole, can speak broken French and is confirmed to be a mama's boy -he is also a cannibal and frequents the cannibal colony where he meets his friend and fellow powerful overloard Rosie. -Alastor always smiles cause he considers frowning a sign of weakness -Alastor is based off of a dear in his design (hence the deer ears, antlers and hooves under his shoes) and is loosely based on the Wendigo. -He hates modern technology (anything after his death) and his main rival is Vox the TV demon -Al is asexual and has no interest in sexual relationships -He was the first character Viv created

One of my favorite things about Hazbin Hotel is seeing Charlie Morningstar trying to find a non violent way to get Sinners into Heaven by using her hotel to cleanse their souls. Sure her idea got mocked, but she's not giving up that easily and I love her singing. That's why I love Charlie so much.☺️🌈🎵🎶

You're the only person I've seen clock the sexism towards Vaggie! And on that note, I wanted to mention my own little theory that Alastor isn't treating Vaggie like that because he _is_ misogynistic, necessarily, but rather because it pisses her off. And getting a reaction out of her is entertaining, especially because _he_ knows that _she_ can't risk retaliating against him. So I think it's more of a, "I'm going to act _exactly_ as terribly towards you as you would expect, because pissing you off when you can't do anything and seeing what kind of rise I can get out of you is _fun_ for me".

I think it's both, really, Alastor is multitalented like that. :) (It definitely makes sense he would love Annie, given the era it's set in. We know from Helluva Boss that demons have access to human media, so I'm hoping he also knows and loves Sweeney Todd.)

Angel grew up in a Mafia family so that could be part of his more chaotic nature. Essentially being an obnoxious himbo is a smoke screen for insecurities and emotional problems which he does self-medicate with Cocaine (hence the Bolivian marching power comment.) and Angel Dust (Which he likely got introduced to after arriving in Hell as PCP wasn't produced until ten years after he died and became a rec drug around 20 years after he died). Angel's been in Hell since 1947 so about 70+ years. So yes, there really isn't any sort of logical reason why he wouldn't have heard of Alastor. It is possible that Angel never heard of Alastor by the Radio Demon title. Given that due to working for Valentino and by proxy having association with Vox, Angel is likely hedging what Vaggie knows so that way he doesn't say anything or reveal knowledge that could cause trouble. Interestingly enough, "Happy Hotel" was a euphemism for the Mental Hospital around the time Alastor and Angel were alive. Both Angel and Alastor are the sort of people who would point that out, but that also might be the reason Alastor sort of changes the name of the Hotel to "Hazbin Hotel".
