The superimposed actions for representation of what Craig’s character wishes to be doing in those moments rather than what he is, has to be one of the realest and most effective ways of showing a characters wants or lust. Guadagnino you sly devil, this looks like a masterpiece. (Oh boy do I understand now that its very clearly in the book, but I still feel like commending Luca for making sure it is something so clearly translated from the book when he could have easily taken that out like many other directors would have. This is not something we have really seen in film this way before, at the very least recently).

1:11 I was transported to his mood of desire by the visual poem of his shadow moving. The image of suppressed love is very lovely.

I like that some shots look like it was filmed in the 70s or 80s and it was remastered. Such a special way to tell an lgbt story.
@johnbeetle43402 ай бұрын
this is not a lgbt story which didn't even exist in this time period. i can't imagine how brutal burroughs would be to you people trying to turn his stories into your bs ideology

Daniel Craig gets my vote for best actor. This is the best thing he has ever done in front of the camera. This film is fantastic. Challengers is great, but when it comes to Luca Guadagnino‘s two films that came out this year, this is the one people should be swooning over the most.
