A2A Aerostar 600 first runup - Success

Just a quick video taken as we ran up the engines after being in the restoration hangar for almost a year. After fixing a little issue with the right starter, both engines fired up nicely. We hope to fly her out of here by the year's end. You can see the beautiful A2A Comanche parked, our work horse taking us comfortably and reliably wherever we need to go.

Just to clarify for those that may not know, this is a 1969 Aerostar 600 that A2A is restoring. Our current Accu-Sim airplane in development is a T-6 Texan.

NorCal A turboprop simulation in FSX and P3D is unconventional, and the people who say they've developed a 'realistic' turboprop for flight simulator are lying. I've read from a sim developer myself that turboprops are not able to be perfectly simulated. To be like an A2A turboprop would cost them upwards of thousands of dollars and YEARS of research. So I wouldn't count on it.

Aerostar? Certainly not what I would've thought you'd pick for next plane, we knew you wanted to do a multi and we all wanted it, but I would've thought you'd have gone for a Baron or even a DC3 or something a little more well known. Be interesting to see what happens.

+NeonsStyle Got about 400 hrs in the A-star. Puts the Barron to shame in the real world. One of the best flying planes you can get, spacious cabin and fast as hell even without the turbos.
