Hi Capt, why does the fuel go back to the tank from IDG? The fuel will be used anyway right? Thanks (@8:26)
@poh2 жыл бұрын
After using for cooling IDG oil, the fuel is too hot to be used directly into the engine and hence its sent to the outer tank for fuel cooling and also to maintain fuel in the wings to avoid wing flutter.

You missed the Fuel Metering Valve. Especially the zoomed in image with the FMV, FMV TM/SV and the Resolver (DSC 70-40-40 P 1/4 of FCOM). 1. What is meant by the FMV position? Is it a valve in the FMV unit or the FMV TM/SV unit valve position? 2. And when it says 'To Nozzle' is the fuel from the the HP pump also added to the fuel from the TM/SV unit?

In FCOM it says 3 stops and 3 detents

I don't think so
@nghianguyen-bz9lu3 жыл бұрын
@@poh TOGA, IDLE and MAX REV are 3 stops. FLEX/MCT, CLB and REV IDLE are 3 detents. I don’t wanna argue which is right or wrong. Just let you know that in FCOM is a bit different than yours. But anyway, you did great jobs. Your vids helped me a lot ‘bout the system. Cheers 🥂

No no don't get me wrong. There is no argument thing here. Just that all the manuals I've seen is that only. But 3 detents and 3 stops makes sense to do justice to the definitions. And thank you!

Dude since there is two powerplant for the A320 at least put in the title which engine type. I assumed this would be the CFM56 :) Great video btw

The oil system exposed is not so simple as presented. There are many parts not described: bearings lub box, bleed air sealing, de-oiler, air-oil separator etc
@poh4 жыл бұрын
For the pilots it isn't important to know those internal parts of the oil system, infact its not even there in our manuals. You're probably talking from and engineering point of view.

Sorry but one of us is wrong,I think there’s 3 stops and 3 detects please check the fcom ,engine,controls and indication,thrust indicator
@poh3 жыл бұрын
Lot of confusion used to be there regarding this as Airbus kept on updating manuals regarding the thrust levers. The latest now says there are 6 positions in all. 3 stops. 3 detents. Thanks.
