After cooling IDGs, fuel returns to the outer tank so to accommodate that fuel the feeding should takes place through inner tank and hence CTR tank feeding is auto stopped during slat extension, is this also correct?

Because for a certain FL and time, and for a fuel type and engine, the fuel flow is affected due to temperature and density of air at that level. Hence for gravity to give you fuel you may require more density and hence will have to descend according to the manufacturers limits mentioned in the QRH.

It was a design feature, which has been now changed by have jet pumps in center which feed the inner tanks on the NEO aircraft.

Contamination is sediments collection Cavitation is lack of ability of centre tank to provide fuel continuously via gravity since no suction valves (new models have it now).

Hi! So yeah in both the cases some Flight computers are inop or some flight control surfaces. For example AC1 bus fault has SPLR 3 inop which has a penalty of 10% on fuel. Similarly on DC1+2 fault there are SPLR 1+2+5. During the flight, the spoiler(s) may gradually extend and increase the fuel consumption.

Excellent video as usual, one question not specifically on your video but about the fuel system. In the Gravity Fuel Feed checklist in the QRH why does it say 'when reaching gravity feed ceiling X FEED OFF'. Wouldn't the cross feed already be off? Thank you for your opinion!

Hey there, these are all legal stand points actually meaning, IF for WHATEVER reason X-Feed was on earlier, then put it off now. Like maybe you would have carried out fuel imbalance or fuel leak checklist prior to this due to some situation.

Because the preselector refueling panel works on battery. There is no reason for APU to be supplied by left fuel feed line. Its just a system design.

I want just to know NOT for practical> How the fuel in Center tank transfer to Wing tanks I checked the AMM but ni diagrams there are check valves in all fuel pumps so how could it be possible to transfer fuel from CTR to WING tanks only using cockpit overhead panel? Thank you!

Fuel transfer is done by engineering using the fuel panel outside. I've no idea about it since pilots are not authorised to do fuel transfer rather cannot do either.

@@poh, My team senior engineer did fuel transfer from centre tank to wing tank he asked me how to do that without switching Defuel /Transfer switches outside panel I checked with the AMM but the diagrams make me confused because there are check valves in each fuel pumps

Pressing the MODE SEL to MAN position will open the center tank transfer valves and the inner tank will create a suction will transfer the fuel. This is what I can think of in aircraft with jet pumps instead of center tank pumps.

Defueling is not a pilot procedure. It is done by engineering only in certain cases such as some issue in tanks and they want all the fuel out of the tank.
