I feel like those loud bumps are when the mechanism locks itself in the downward position in order to be able to absorb the enormous weight of that airplane. Can you imagine all the forces?

The inner gear is last to deploy, but the inner gear doors sequence first and then hang there open while the outer gear deploys. That's curious. I wonder if there's a story behind that decision.

I think it is just the distribution of hydraulic power available. Not enough to move both gears at the same time, but one set and the doors.

Does anybody know how they suspend the airplane during The landing gear sequence? I’m guessing large straps or maybe there are some attachment points that are part of the fuselage?

They have hoist points all around the aircraft. Typically one on each wing and one either in the front or the back of the aircraft they use hydraulic jacks to lift the aircraft off the ground.
