Man this brings back memories, some bad and some good! I was a plane captain on VA 55, between 71' and 73, stationed at NAS Lemoore. Squadrons 55, 212 and 164 were all "sister squadrons." Say hello if you were there!

I hope Mr. Burton reads this, I was also an AE in VA 212 during the last Hancock cruise but was working as a plane captain because of getting into trouble so much. Mr. Burton was a muscle head like me and was quite strong as I remember. I got in trouble with the law right before the last cruise in 75 when Mr. Burton came with me to court and had me released to the Navy so I could be sent on the cruise. I still respect him for standing up for me at that time in my life. I am also a member of the Skyhawks Forever and USS Hancock associations.

Wow...this brings back the memories. As a one of the AO's of VA-212 in 1970/71, our crew must have loaded you up many times. First time to see the other end/delivery of the goods. I also remember the junks/fisherman...whatever they were.... floating by us. Thank you so much for sharing this!

Thank you, Kip. Now I can see what it looked like, from your end. I was the night shift supervisor of the AIMD Calibration Lab (WC 670) from 1969 through 1974. I don't know how many times you landed over my head. I was happy to ensure your avionics was reliable. - Ron Greene (former) AT1

Hey! Ron Greene. Yeah I think I knew you too. Do you remember Commander Rush providing some great leadership moments? I had the AIMD supply office on the hanger deck. 70-71 cruise.

I was a Rigger in 212 from June 68-July 71. I remember Mr Burton as a kick ass pilot! Great pics!

Mr. Burton this was really cool to see again. I served with you at the time as an AE in AVWEPS & being on my 1st WESPAC. Its been a long, long time since I've actually seen those days from long ago, but I've held them all in my mind & relived them several times. Thank you Sir for converting the film and posting here.

Kip! Do you remember that we ran into each other in Japan? You kindly invited me to join your outfit for a serious party when DesRon 29 staff was onboard Hancock riding from Tonkin Gulf to Subic. Quite some memories! - Jay Pryor
