They need to invest in this app. It is pretty inconsistent and also not clear on how it works. It should be intuitive having in mind we have Sony here.

After the first time connection via NFC, subsequent connection requires pressing "Connect to [your camera's name]" button on the smartphone app and the "Send to Smartphone" option on the menu of the camera. Make sure you choose "Select on Smartphone" to opt for "Original Size" from "Copy Image Size" on the app. This way, you can get the 24 megapixel photos you shot with your camera on the phone.

This is exactly what I wanted to know, because with Nikon's first app it only saved a thumbnail-sized photo. Just one more question, can this app also transfer full-sized RAW photos or does it only work with JPGs? Thanks in advance.

Good instruction. But... It doesn't work with the new imaging edge mobile version. I have a Huawei 10 mate pro and the A6000 since July 14, 2019.. QR-code scanning doesn't work. So connecting the camera is not possible. Has anybody has a solution? Thanks in advance.

Connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network and enter the password manually. The file transfer is done via Wi-Fi, I think NFC is only to ease the typing of the password.

On iPhone it's even more stupid. You have to enter the ssid and password TWICE, once in the wifi settings, and once in the imaging edge mobile app.

You can transfer full size images (only the jpgs) by change the settings on your mobile applications.

Just ignore the internet connection and make sure the phone is connected to the camera's WiFi network...

PlayMemories Mobile can also transfer full size JPGs to the phone, but not RAW files. Go to: - 3 dots (upper right corner), - Settings - Copy Image Size - Original
