Thanks for the heads up man, I just received my peak design quick release wrist strap, and I'd have simply looped them onto the sharp slots. I'm glad I stumbled onto this video. Much appreciated.

Try using a ring given by peak design with the strap or the triangle loops given by Sony itself on the strap mounts and attach the anchor to the loops

I wonder if it could be fixed by some heatshrink tubing around the cord? I bought a PGYTECH that uses the same kind of links and this video scares the shit out of me. I thought about switching to QD (specifically a Leofoto SP-01), but I've seen a video where one of those failed, although it was on the tripod foot of a supertele lens, so that's probably an issue of just hanging too much weight off of it. I'm trying to find a custom machined screw just like the one Smallrig supplies (standard M2.5?), but with a longer head that has a hole through it, so you can put it right into the empty hole you take the Smallrig screw out of. Then I can just keep using the triangular split rings, which these straps are designed for. I've seen a similar one on eBay (but with a ridiculous 20 piece bulk order requirement), but the hole doesn't look big enough for the triangle ring.

The triangle rings will fit on the top two mounts that cut my links. But, the concentrated weight might snap the two bars. Regular straps spread out the weigh like they were intended to be used.
