The bonnet substructure gets added to reinforce the hing attachment points and create air management features. It swings and latches like a real car!

Fabulous techniques here. Please consider Eastwood's roll-on epoxy and urethane primers when you are at the stage for paint prep. They are fantastic to work with!

If the engine was under there, I might be tempted to call it the hood, but it's not! So, bonnet it is! Now If I could just get the steering wheel on the right side! ;)

Thanks. How is the Piston Pens project going?
@MechatronCNC-HVM9 ай бұрын
@@BuilderCreator Hey, pistonpens was a successful kickstarter project. I am no longer making them since it was always the plan to make it a limited run. There may be a second piston product in the future down the line. I have designed & made automotive products in the UK, from bmw billet gear knobs to lamborghini parts. I have currently taken a break from that buisness and hope to return later next year once other life goals have been accomplished. Thanks for the interest 😎👍 I am building my own one off supercar with a mercedes m120 6.0 V12 (pagani zonda engine) . Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences.

Please add "good sponsors" to that request. I get lots of requests for sponsorship, but video games and VPNs are not what this crowd is looking for.

@@BuilderCreator Honestly, we get that they would help you in financing such project so i don't thing your audience will mind it as much as you think. You could make a poll or something similar if that's the only thing stopping you from accepting such sponsors. (Just discovered you recently and bingewatch your whole channel. Big ups my man!)

Hey 👋, how are you doing? long time.. you know I was watching the video and all of a sudden I realised how smooth your parts are, like I was thinking for future while painting you might not need much sanding just for mild leveling and adhesion....
@BuilderCreator9 ай бұрын
Smooth yes, but when your after that perfect paint job there is always LOTS of sanding. Are you still in Europe?
@divyanshsrivastava73129 ай бұрын
@@BuilderCreator yaa that's true, but would you need to fill stuff with fibreglass filler or just a skim coat of some body filler would be sufficient?, and are you still planning to paint it Blue or some thing new caught your eye 😄? Oooh yaa still in Germany, completed 1st year of my Master's, right now, I'm about to start with my Internship in Boeing the aerospace company ✈✈ and a student assistance job both working under Autonomous Drones technology. I feel like I’ve been waiting 6 months for a car video and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed in it only being 8 minutes. But I do understand you have other stuff going on in your life. It would drive me nuts to have such an amazing project so close to being drivable. I don’t know how you reframe from working on it. I know it’s been a life long goal of yours and I think you have done an amazing job. I’m so excited to see the finished product. I know with my projects I get my enjoyment from seeing if I can do it, if I can build it. Then when it’s done I lose interest and start looking towards the next project. Do you think you may have reached a point where you are like “I did it, it doesn’t excite me anymore. I would rather work on lyviathon.” (Butchered spelling I know) Just curious please don’t take anything I say as criticism. Your channel is my favorite channel and I appreciate what you do. You truly have encouraged me to take on bigger projects and to learn new skills.

My life has been a long string of multiple simultaneous projects and I knew the KZbin channel would be the same. Some have criticized that I started the Leviathan project before I finished Arete, but they are looking at it from a "pure KZbin" perspective. No right minded engineering, fab shop or designer would base his business on one project at a time. If they believe they could, they have never had to deal with cash flow in a business. Cash "spurts" only pay bills on occasion. In the hey day of my architectural business, I would be designing 7 to 10 houses at a time. My starting back up in the mechanical/design business is no different; the vehicles are bigger jobs than designing a home, but multiple projects will not leave me with dry spells in the end. This is a long game, with multiple payouts in the future. Luckily people like you are smart enough to understand that If you don't like Off-road(ish) stuff then just watch the supercar videos, or vice-versa. this is a design business with a presence on KZbin, not a KZbin business, that does design. I am smart enough to know that If I wanted to make a lot of money with KZbin ad revenue, I would hire an attractive young girl and do quick turn around car mods and supercar spotting/reviews. Ha! Anyway, thanks for letting me vent... Long comments get long answers. ;) P.S. Stay tuned, as I am soon going to reveal one of the main goals of the channel.
@tryin2figureitout9 ай бұрын
You have no idea how much I appreciate your response. I guess I am guilty of looking at your channel as strictly a “KZbin channel” what you said makes perfect sense. I am wanting to do a complete custom mid engine, tubular chassis, composite body build AND I WILL BUILD IT. Truly your channel is what gave me the inspiration and confidence to actually be planning such a thing. Thank you what you do is more than entertain and at least for me it is appreciated.
