One easy way to do a building is to set what they call badder boards and that way you can set strings up and it's guaranteed to be square and the post to be set where they need to be...
@Dobrinich23 күн бұрын
If you have more holes. I recommend putting water on them the day before. This way is softening the ground before hand.

Was I the only one thinking "Isn't the water trough for Honey's area right there near where the new barn is? Why don't they just put a short hose on her water spout so they could fill the buckets up from the other side of the fence and get the water there?" I could be insanely wrong though because it's hard judging how far away things are on a video. So happy to see those first four posts go up! Can't wait to see all the hay go in.😊

It’s crucial to get the four corners exact, less than a quarter inch off. When you’re done measure diagonal corners, they should be the same distance. I have three sets of Bull horns but I’d love to have some like in the background, at the end of the video.

Consider fastening those braces for the posts with screws. Won’t move the posts which driving nails might, easier to remove without moving the posts, screws can be reused unlike nails.

If you like watching farm building go check out Saskatchewan Kid. His family has over 300 dairy cows and its a day to day look at dairy farming. They started putting up a cheese factory building to make cheese. Its a huge building. They putting up the roof flies with a hugh crane . Very cool to watch. You can go back in the videos and see when they started it. Also adding on to their calf barn. So interesting. Nice family also.
