What's frightening is I once actually knew a guy like Hans. Met him at an AA meeting years ago (I have 10+ years clean) and he was 29 years old, had advanced liver failure (5% liver function and on the transplant list), severe "wet brain" (brain damage), shuffle walked with a walker, spoke with slurred speech, his wrinkled skin was yellow with jaundice, and he literally looked to be in his 50s or 60s. Before he came in, he'd been working as a bartender at a Florida beach and had drunk at least a liter of vodka a day for 6 years straight. He died at 32 living at home with his mom.

I'm 31 living with my parents, this is pretty funny. Sucks for the dude though, great story. I don't know if you play warhammer, I was playing a match in a Gamesworkshop store YEARS ago and this guy was playing a chaos army with nurgle marines, and the guy had some kind of medical condition where he had large open sores on his face, like someone cut him with a razer just then, no blood or anything, he just had a scraggily beard because obviously he couldnt shave with these open sores. But they were clean, etc... its just... he was playing a chaos army! It was brilliant. I never commented on his scars because its not needed, I dont wanna bring that up. but anyway, its funny that this guy looked like a nurgle cultist with his medical condition, and hes playing with some nurgle troops. Fucking love warhammer. bringing peeps together. Ive been to AA sort of meetings but it was just a bunch of boring crack heads. :P

The Simpsons was so good at creating characters. They defined their characters so well that you could basically dump a few of them into almost any scene and I imagine a lot of the material would write itself. Full respect to the writers by the way!
