The only AAA game I have been looking forward to lately was Wonder Woman, it uses the Nemesis System. But, considering who was "consulting," I would not mind if WB/Monolith shut down.

On the other hand, I kind of agreed when they did it. The potential was there to let other studios use it in their games. After all the work that went into it I think they were looking at licensing potential so had to protect it.

It's not just about going woke. The world is going thru a major shake up right now thanks to a global financial crisis, technology shift, several wars, aging work forces, and several other things. To bottle this all up as some juvenile "go woke, go broke" toddler speak, is just plain brainless. 🤷‍♂ The DEI, woke stuff and alienating their audiences have only taken these companies and hastened the inevitable in most cases, and in the fewer cases - their recent products and PR have made them targets for that chopping block. People are not drinking beer like they once did, people are not buying single player AAA games like they once did, people are not going to theaters like they once did, people are not buying physical media-like they once did, people are not buying luxury fashion like they once did, people are not eating out like they once did, people are not traveling like they once did, people do not have as many subscriptions as they once did, people are not buying new cars like they once did, people are not watching sports like they once did, people are not drinking soda or eating candy like they once did, people are not buying toys as they once did (for kids), people are not watching broadcast TV like they once did..... on and on and on. Yes, a lot of people are boycotting the crappy woke products. But it takes the entire population who consumes something to do that, to truly crush a company. And MOST PEOPLE are not online following the Budlite controversy or watching KZbin videos about Hogwarts Legacy.... they just work, take care of their kids, and buy beer or a game to play on their limited time. And *this is happening ALL OVER THE WORLD,* including in some of the most socially conservative corners of the planet. 🌏 So make no qualms about it: this is just the start, and very little of this is about politics and more about the world around us shifting on a scale that should be scaring people right now. This isn't the result of a childish and immature catch phrase. This is a very serious problem you shouldn't be laughing about right now. *Yes, It's great that the woke people who ruined our hobbies are getting their comeuppance...* but your next, and many of the things you love that have nothing to do with DEI. We are in a world crisis right now. And it's only gonna get worse. 🤦‍♂

Honest idea, buy up all the old games from studios they have lost or basically cancelled all their games, update them to run on current systems then platform them for sale, use a tubi method to get advertising with people playing their favorite games from back then updated

If they try to sell Mortal Kombat, odds are that the studio will go independent again. They have changed hands already a few times, including their original publisher Midway. They are still very profitable. The trade off is that their future games would most likely not have the WB property (or Amazon MGM) crossovers. We would essentially go back to the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 where DLC characters were typically Original Characters and variations of-existing characters.

You are right, Okami was published by Capcom and it was developed by Clover and Ready at Dawn only handled the Wii port of Okami.

You can still play your Digital XBOX 360 games on your 360, they didn't delete your library. Delisting games or closing shops doesn't remove your games. Even on the Wii, as long as your didn't format it, you can still download your Virtual Console games.

With the 360 marketplace shutting down, titles have been getting pulled gradually over the years, partially due to licensing. I’m honestly it wasn’t shut down altogether 4-6 years ago.

A thing with the new Switch 2 when it comes out; theres a new pokemon title coming out, ZA and after that will be the big one, generation 10. I'd expect Nintendo to maybe line up the release of the Switch 2 possibly before ZA to prep for Gen 10.

It’s their track record of buying up talent so they don’t go to competitors, and then have them sit around in an adult daycare that the day in the life influencer women were boasting about on social media. Their boasting ironically caused their implosion and now people don’t think you actually did any work at these mega corporation campuses. Lone echo 1&2 are incredible games stuck on the pcvr rift store. Maybe they might get a port or accessible with cloud gaming plan added to the meta subscription. Meta has a bad track record with oculus game support on the rift store with many games left broken due to lack of updates or removed entirely after people spent $40 - $60 on Marvel Powers United for example. A game that would be extremely popular if it was on quest 3 & quest pro.

We already have a live service Animal Crossing game on mobile. I don't want the main games to follow that suit. I've always found live service games to be devoid of excitement. Drip fed content and FOMO tactics to keep players enslaved to it. I don't want that. It was hard enough in New Horizons that features in the game were added slowly until HHPs release. I just want a complete game released day one.

Nintendo would be extraordinarily wise to lean into the cross-platform nature of the Switch 2. It sounds like that's exactly what they're doing, which I hope is the case. This is going to be the premium switch if so, mainly for people willing to fork out large sums of money for a hyper powered version of the origin console.

Video Game companies need to pivot to earlier model dump AAA totally . Maybe better graphics but create great games that dont need constant large updates to work right, Dont need to rely on Microtransactions to be profitable. Devolop complete games that people can buy and enjoy then move on to develop next game. Nintendo does this for most part but other systems reply on games that take 4-5 years to devolop if it isn't a HUGE hit no way will create a profit. No Im not saying go back to NES to SNES games but I middle ground PS3 Xbox 360, Gameube Switch etc games that are still desirable decades later. If Limit to that but with better graphic would enable companies to not stick enough money to buy a small country in hopes of a hit if flops company folds
