AAC vs CLC - Which One Absorbs More Water?

AAC is known to have characteristics like a sponge when it comes to water absorption, hence AAC is not advised for projects in tropical countries with rainy weather such as South East Asia countries. Under heavy rains and humid weather, AAC blocks absorb water and expand, which leads to cracks and moulds in the wall.

Think of the aerated concrete as you do wood.... different woods for different purposes. Likewise is concrete... with different mixes with different characteristics. You can buy both CLC and AAC with the same density and near the same strengths but a wise man would choose one over the other for optimizing the intended use i.e. structural or insulative or exposure to the weather etc... The answer is IT ALL DEPENDS on your requirements. Bottom line... try to use as much as possible traditional concrete to avoid latent surprises. ALWAYS ASK WHAT ARE THE ALTERNATIVES, BENEFITS AND COSTS. Good luck!

Clc is best. Add poly fiber and increase compressive strength.

How much poly fiber for 20 liters? Clc is better than aac ? why people create factories for aac , but clc don't need factory and cheaper tools , they do that
