Aadat is the first song of Jal. Atif did many versions after and Aadat is also a first song of Atif Aslam. Aadat is the song which made Aatif a brand but it is originally written and composed by Goher Mumtaz.

The guitarist at the beginning is Sulieman Kansi. A friend of mine. He is from one of the most backward province of Pakistan named as Balochistan. Har jagah hai jal was the last song of the album 'aadat'. It's a really really good song, mostly instrumental.

'Jal' created this song and they literally made this genre popular in the Indian subcontinent that everyone in bollywood started mimicking them. maybe that's why the line "har jagah hai Jal" to emphasize that Jal is present as an influence and in the hearts of fans even though band disbanded ages ago EDIT: i heard the song again. i think the first 2/3rd of the video is without singing because the Jal band had orignally 3 members out of which 2 left and only the last man standing is singing his part in the end. maybe this is his artistic representation of conveying to the world the emptiness created by those 2 and also to show that even after those 2 left the world still knows and copies the band and he's left alone but still creating art on his own despite the emptiness he feels due to their departure. PS: i'm not an expert and i generally don't notice such artistic expressions but in this case it only took me 2 viewings lol

Gohar and Aatif represented Jal the band. After 15 years har jagah hai jal means that jal the band reached everywhere through aadat. This is my explanation of this line in this song.

P.s. THe original Aadat was also produced by Zulfiqar jabbar khan (Xulfi) and Mekaal hassan band. So here's another version by the one and only Xulfi.

Yes, it's actually composed by gohar... who created the song and masterpiece in jal band and atif being part of the band sang it in 🇵🇰...and india liked and took the song and atif Aslam both and used it later... so yes Gohar is the producer and founder of the song and music of this song actually.... atif got credit by india but gohar didn't but people of Pakistan knows actually it's an gohar band jal ka song...so he is the owner of it actually

Oh god.. so much intense nostalgia and so many memories associated with this song.. had just entered college, and underwent through those initial pangs of immature love that one tends to go through in this phase of life.. what I would not give to live just a day of that life - no real care in life, you lived a lifetime every day!! Yes "AADAT" is "Anthem" , both Atif and gohar's version are best & you can feel pain but they're different types of pain in both versions, when you listening aadat by gohar ( softness / calm feeling) where Atif's version strong or we can say hard / heavy. both did very well.

This song has a history behind it. Ownership of this song/melody was contested between Atif Aslam and Gohar. This song is Gohar's response. "Har jagah hai Jal". Jal is everywhere. Melody is everywhere. Instruments are everywhere. Vocals are just one aspect. Atif is the one who was the vocalist. Thats how I perceive this song.

The original adat song was ideally an intellectual property of 'jal' atif parted ways and released it in Bollywood before the orginal 'mana bikhra hun me abhi' and adat from jal the band album became famous ....people later came to know why versions of adat other than kalyug became more famous
