Zain Ali & Zohaib Ali are grandsons of Ustad Haji Rehmat Ali Khan who perfomed for about 40years with Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan saab. They are performing for about 11 years now and carrying forward legacy of these great Ustads.

Ufff! One of my most favourite qawalis to come out of Nescafé Basement. Wonder if I am the only one who got flashing images of Khan Saheb Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, as the qawali unfolded?! Just mere glimpses of the Maestro himself. These guys are just awesome, and add Xulfi’s brilliance to their voices and talent…and voila! Yet another masterpiece! Talent aside, the emotional connection formed with the listener is instant! For those of us who hold the Prophet (PBUH) and his holy family in reverence, this qawali just touches the strings of your heart and soul….but for you and Shrutz to feel that emotional connect shows how successful they were in putting the message across. Truly, music has no boundaries! ❤️ Loved the reaction, Girls! A big thank you and a thumbs up! 🙏🏻👍

I listen to previously heard songs or in this case qawali on this channel just to see what you two are going to highlight, seldomly I don’t get anything new and always find a new angle or meaning to either the whole song or a part of it, great job on that. What makes me happy is this art form is picked up by younger generation of artist and they’re not just attempting but excelling. As far as I know qawali is exclusive to subcontinent, it must go on.

I listen to this song every morning. Keeps me in check with god and my Pakistani heritage. My manager is from Finland and it’s also one of his favourites too. He can’t stop listening to Pakistan - coke studios now 😂 it’s quite funny because he doesn’t know any of the languages or Punjabi in the case of this song. He mentions that Sufi music touches his soul. Fair play 👏

Most of them are actually university students picked by the zulfi ustaad from different areas of Pakistan where different local/folk music is like traditional values. Hats off to Nescafé for searching out this talent and giving them such a platform.

Yeah, that accusation is very weird: 1. Anonymous post. We don't even know who the girl is. 2. The girl has no screenshots of the conversation (she deleted them) 3. No accusation that he actually threatened to take her off Nescafe Basement. 4. She says a guy (no name) can verify her claims, but she has no contacts with him anymore either. Just sounds very dubious. Unsubstantiated claims like these do not help anyone.

I completely agree with you about the "Guitars" thing but that's actually the purpose of solos , as John mayor says that solo in a song is a syrup that is given to the audience forcefully, so basically the purpose of solo itself is to distract you for a while to that when you come back you start enjoying the song again , actually when you keep listening the quality content in lengthy songs, you just lose the thrill because of the consistency so to give the audience the flavor of the core content AGAIN the solos are to be put in to distract the audience and then when they hit back with the main content it gives you the epic feeling one more time ,PS: it's not about giving the room for breathing cause these people practice for hours daily so breath is not the issue especially in recorded songs
