People who say all Americans eat just burgers and pizzas are equivalent to people here in the west who say Indians only eat curry or chicken tikka masala. US is a very large country with varying cuisines. Jambalaya, Gumbo, meatloafs, Poke bowls, Chili con carne(shortened as Chili- stew with meat), prime ribs, steak, pork rolls are some of the dishes eaten across different parts in the US.

It was probably Akash mis-hearing the French words. We don't even pronounce "croissant" correctly and I have come across bakery staff who couldn't understand me when I pronounced it the French way. They then proceeded to teach me the "correct" pronunciation. I had to let it go because they obviously didn't have the advantage of taking French classes.

odof that he said is spelled as hors d'oeuvre and it means appetizers or starters. It can be made of many ingredients and name is given accordingly. Additionally there are sandwich and burgers with steak cut as patty....I have seen it in menu in hotel I was working. Other than that I would not completely agree with other things shuvam said... but I might don't know as well.

Chef here might know the actual spelling as it is taught like mantra to HM students as part of French classical menu but his pronunciation was not really the best. However, in my opinion the subtitles that came along was the main reason people got confused..... that's all 😅 Spelling and pronunciation for this word are worlds apart😅😅

Regarding 11:12 The problem is, in India, a burger means the whole dish including the bun, lettuce, patty etc. Example, mostly in India we call it a chicken burger when we use grilled or fried chicken, as opposed to chicken sandwich in the US. In the US, burger means the ground meet patty. Turkey burger means, ground turkey patty. You can apparently have a hamburger without the bun too, because the name is basically referring to the meat patty. Hence, chik fil a sandwiches are called sandwiches and not burgers etc etc.

To all the hardcore Shubham defenders in the comments, please answer the following- 1) He said Bruschetta is french (it is Italian) 2) He said you can put Steak in a burger. 3) Says Americans only eat burgers. 4) Even if he did mispronunciate "hors d'oeuvre" and "poivre", poivre literally means pepper. 5) Does not know basic human body parts.

American sushi? It's like Turkish curry? Like when people say curry it's exclusive to India , similarly when you say sushi it's like exclusive to japanese cuisine.... But at different places these dishes are modified into their own forms according to the flavours popular at those places . Like the way Indians make chinese chowmin which is definitely ten times more spicy and sour than it will ever be in China . Food does get modified . Like korean ramen too !
