He was the Best! No PBS artist can match his technique with such captivating beauty and colorful glory in realism. I just love him!
@BlackCatTales Жыл бұрын
I never knew him in life, neither in person nor on TV, as he was before my time, but now, as I watch these videos over and over, and learn how to paint the way this great man painted, I sometimes catch myself looking at sunlight on trees, seeing the colors as he would paint them, or now especially, I see a brilliant sunset, and think to myself "Bill's at it again! Firing right in!"

Neighbour notices this new breathtakingly colourful painting in Bill's home: _'Oh, a new one? It wasn't here yesterday. This one looks stunning! Where did you get it?'_ 'Painted it myself. Today.' _' What? In just one day?!'_ 'Nooo, of course not. It took me an hour.'

My mercy!..... If you ever had a doubt as to which one was the better of the two,Bill or Bob,all you have to do is watch one,just one of Bills vids and BAM!......you know who was the best!

Thank you so much for these beautiful paintings! Long after he is gone, he is still teaching us and I am hungry to learn. He was a real artist and painting came so natural to him. Love his personality and his character.

If you listen to his accent and figure out his approximate age. You know he had an extremely hard life. Yet his positive attitude is preserved in these videos for all time. As we move into another dark period of history we need his kind of encouragement. What a wonderful gift to us and future generations.

Bill was so amazing! I remember and loved watching him so many years ago. Then Bob Ross came on the scene. And Bill seemed to fade away. Thank you for bringing back him and his techniques!!

Don't over-do it, Bill... DON'T OVER-DO IT, BILL! OMG I've never clenched up so much on the edge of my seat before! Pure joy to see a master in his own right. I would love to have a painting like that hanging on my bedroom wall. If I ever could not sleep, I would just gaze at that and feel so relaxed. What a brilliant job on this one. This one takes guts and a lot of practice first before doing something like this.

It is to bad you have not told his story as the forced soldier for the Germans during WW2. He was an artist before his drafting, and how his painting career started after his surrender to American forces. I have always enjoyed watching Bill over Bob.
@Wildboy7897894 жыл бұрын
Same, his story is amazing, I tend to think he ran away from the nazis considering the US soldiers let him paint their wives lol, u don't just give painting tools to your prisoners

He acts like he is using a brush or the knife for the first time, but he is a really good painter! I was watching Bob Ross, and this guy seemed worse at the beginning, but he is much much better than Ross! He uses the colors much more bravely, paints different scenes and his using the lights and shadows are more realistic. Ross makes lots of mistakes about the light and shadows, this guy shows how they should be!
