Recorded in the 90’s, released in the 2000’s, then re-released 20 years later…. and it fits every era of music so well that you wouldn’t be able to tell when it came out if you didn’t already know. I really wish we had the chance to witness what she would’ve done in the future. 😔

I literally discovered Aaliyah in the wake of Surving R. Kelly, and it really hit home because I can related to many of their experiences. I am doing an assignment for university about this song and as I get to know her better I feel this deep grief that is much more profound then when Michael Jackson died who was the only other artist I grieved. I hope one of this days it passes over like MJ but I it will take so much time but I am gonna to continue to listen to her music and enjoying it. Thanks for those who read my comment
