Different styles of dances and accordingly Raveendran has changed the style and Dasettan has changed the singing style as well...If you look at the Kathak portion, it's mostly Hindustani style and if you look at the nadodi pattu, Dasettan is signing in a very non-classical style...of course, Lalettan performing all those styles, it's so believable...

The thing is that this song should be seen as a continuation of that movie scene in which Mohanlal was being questioned about his capability as a dance master, The scene will give you a chance to witness one of his great performance as well as seasoned dialogue delivery and then this song will follow as a performance he puts before the crowd as an answer ti the questions raised against him. I wish they knew the context of the song , even if they had heard lalettan’s dialogue before the song . They think its she’s fantasizing about being in different places which is not the case here . You definitely need to check out the climax song of this movie, “ somuhoorthamai swasthi “ seetharamayanam piece …. I often search and listen to that song just for that last portion , dasettan givem me goosebumps every time I listen that song …, Also wanted to add one point , till this movie in my mind all dance masters specifically classical ones had feminine touch, n lalettan broke that clichéd image, legend for a reason, and to think that he produced all these movies which made the comeback of semi classicals in malayalam movies says a lot about him 😘

Actually this song blends very well with the script. The pretext of the song was Monisha was actually trying to confront lalettan for houling for a mistake she did while performing the Song " Ananda Nadanam Addi Naan" in Bharathanatyyam style . Even the other dance teachers( played by Sukumari Amma ) relishes this argument and sarcastically asks whether mohanlal can perform the dance. In reply Mohanlal elaborates the lyrical diction in the song and tells whatever may be the medium like Bharathanatyam, kathak or kuchupodi or folkdance...the dancer should connect with the audience in conveying the message. While performing Nandagopal mash( Lalettan character) performs the same "Ananda Nadam " phrase in Bharathanatyam, Kathak, kuchpodi and also in folk style. Whereas Monisha is actually a trained classical dancer, Lalettan had learned the nuances of dance with training and aptly performed and delivered.
