a story with a happy ending: here i was, trying to perform the glitch that allows you to pull out the shield while holding a rock (except i was doing it with a bush). the r button on my 3ds hadn't been working for a long time, it would only rarely react, and was thus untrustworthy in my quest to save the kingdom. alas, my hopes of performing this glitch were dwindling, but then, as i was rapidly pressing the dreaded button, i started hearing a muffled sound that would repeat each time i pressed r, as if it was telling me that a certain action was not possible under these conditions. could it be? i put down the bush (turns out the glitch only works with rocks) and, yes, there it was! my shield would appear e v e r y time i pressed r, ready to defend me from fiends out to impede me on my quest. you, sir a+start, fixed my 3ds. now i can use the r button to dash in mariokart, i can use it to block octorock stones and spears in all of my zelda games, i can be normal again. you, sir, saved me.

Sequence break glitches always make me wonder just how they were found out. Did they happen by accident? Or did someone think "Hey, if I place a Bomb here and then use the Tornado Rod just before it explodes, what'll happen?"

most speed runners will find out how some games work and will try to find glitches like this to see if they can cut seconds out of a run and sometimes some glitches are accidentally found like the ditman glitch in resident evil 4 where someone accidentally found it but it was implemented in speedruns as you move and attack faster which is essential in a speedrun and some people like testers look for glitches to help patch the game in certain spots but sometimes they still get through or if you're bethesda it becomes a feature of the game

I remember when I was playing this game I found a small glitch in Kakariko Village where if you use pegasus boots to dash diagonally at a certain house, you will end up dashing in place against a corner without ever being knocked out of the dash like you normally are when you hit a wall or corner. You can easily get out of this position by canceling the dash, and it doesn't appear to have a use, so it really has no effect on the game, but it is kind of funny to watch link just continue to run full speed at a wall.

As a person who watches ahamplan run this game. I knew every one of these glitches but it was still a great watch. I hope you see this a+start because you did put some great effort in this video and you should be more recognized for it. I do sort of wish you showed off earlier sequence breaks speed runners used. Such as the damage boosts used to cross the bridge in death mountain with the tornado rod and skull instead of *just* the fire rod and hookshot, or how the desert palace skip used to require you to clip into the dark portals wall. But to those who don't know about/how to preform the glitches. This is very informative.

I tried the ice ruins skip and omg it took forever to get the timings right, and even to react fast enough to use the boots, but I managed to do it around 3 times, twice falling to my death, on my third attempt I thought I messed up because I fell and the camera was switching between B3 and B4, but I managed to move up and fall perfectly and it felt amazing, this video was super fun, thanks a lot.

I found a glitch of sorts. Near the Zora Domain, on the same screen in fact, there's a corner where an edge that you can jump off, and one you can't jump off. If you dash at the corner, Link will run continuously, vibrating as well, in front of the corner. You can stop this by stopping the dash!

You know what this video taught me? That there's Pegasus boots in the game. I beat it without them... Halfway through the game I got tired of walking slowly and specifically looked around the world for them. One of the NPCs mentioned I needed them, so I suspected they might exist. But I couldn't find them anywhere, so I just went on and completed the game without them.
