Air is one of the most underrated elements. It’s super deadly if applied at its peak but the air nomads are a passive culture so they don’t typically use it for violence. When you master it fully you can fly, suck the air out of someone’s lungs and kill them, instantly kill all fires, shoot deadly high pressure air bullets at people, travel into space in an air bubble, travel underwater in an air bubble, survive high altitudes by concentrating all the oxygen around you, etc.

Air is the strongest for me because it does not have a natural counterpart. It can go toe-to-toe against all other elements and has virtually no weakness against fire, earth, and water. Let's just say all of the air benders invade other nations, they are just going to make a huge tornado to wipe other benders out and if other benders use their abilities, the huge tornado will just absorb them and throw them back at them. Air can do offense while being defensive.

Whats crazy is Air has some of the most creative ways of bending and is also unseeable its OP. I personally love earth bending too much though but I would prob put air as most OP followed by water and earth. Water 2nd simple because how everything thats alive has water in it and a skilled bender can take all available moisture around them to their advantage

Before Man of Steel I would've hated the idea of Superman killing BUT Zack's movie shines a light on the fact that writers simply put him in situations where he doesn't have to kill, if Superman or any hero is a situation where someone as strong as Zod is threatening to kill a innocent family unless you kill Zod himself 10/10 Superman is snapping Zod's neck. I can still enjoy stories where writers opt to not put heroes in any situation where they won't kill BUT I'm no longer upset when these heroes kill if the situation forces them to so long as it's not constantly happening.

Fire can’t exist without air, more specifically oxygen so if aang held his breath for longer then his firebending opponent then he could take there bending essentially. Ik there are drawbacks to this like whilst he’s doing this he can’t really fight at the same time but this would be good on a team battle.

People forget about oxygen bending which is a sub section of air bending. They could literally remove the air from your lungs. They could also freeze the air in your lungs- yangchen showed this. Air bender could also create a vacuum completely making fire bending useless. They can fly too. Air bending is OP people sleep on it often

Earth bending is definitely the most useful, good for getting around (bumi does hulk super jumps, toph surfs) but you can also just build yourself an entire castle without anyone’s help. If you are lucky and can lava bend your also just a better fire bender.
