Aishwarya truly loved Salman, to the extent that she believed that her true love will make Salman see his good side and mend his anger and abusive ways. She stuck with him till his ways started to effect her parents and brother's life too. That's when she called it quits. Vivek and her had just worked on a stage act and signed Kyun.. Ho Gaya Na together. She found solace in Vivek as they got to spend good time together. And as it is always, with the heartbroken one (girl or boy), she mistook her comfort in his care for love. Vivek probably did love him but Aishwarya took time to realise that Vivek was not love but just a friendly comfort which can't go beyond as these two were different people. That is why, even though both of them were seemingly a couple..there is a forced chemistry and not a good one, in this song. When the two parted ways, Vivek was not the generous lover himself, who would want her lover's happiness to be his true love's win. He said a lot nasty stuff about her in press, and for years. Salman has never said anything nasty about Aishwarya ever, except the arrogant bits where he showed that he refuses to grow up, act his age, not be a spoilt child at 50+. But Salman never said anything nasty about Aishwarya, unlike Vivek. Salman did love Aishwarya but was too spoilt to ever change himself - typical Indian man ego. Aishwarya had always been good friends with Abhishek. They never thought of the friendship as growing into love. But working on three back to back films - Dhoom 2, Umrao Jaan and Guru, right after Kajra Re's massive success and the massive IIFA closing performance in Amsterdam, got them to know each other very well and gradually found love in friendship. Plus, Abhishek is a very secure human being. He has seen his father's great highs and bankruptcy level lows. He has seen great and most unwanted criticism for a star kid ever. Jaya Bacchan really brought up him well. He was the perfect day to Aishwarya's night. They compliment and complete each other.
