Another casualty of Boone’s mismanagement of the pitching staff. Gil has thrown as many innings already this year than he did previous years. Boone’s constant attempt to save the bullpen has resulted in Gil’s overuse.

What exactly do all these coaches do besides steal Hal's money - hitting coaches, pitching coaches, strengthening coaches, IT coaches with technology - Volpe is looking awful again at the plate and a strike out machine like last season - Verdugo a .277 lifetime hitter hitting .240 - i am telling you if you do not have a lineup that has .280, and .290 and .300 hitters except for Judge and Soto and a mediocre bull pen with no closer you are not winning a ring this season
