That video was awesome! You really did a great job of explaining the ROI we got from the clinic. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope our paths cross again in the future. Let us know if you ever make it up to MN!

It was a pleasure meeting you too. I’ll try to make it up there one of these days. Skol Vikings!

Really dynamic video covering so much! At 60 riding hard takes lots of thought, preparation, and commitment. I learned a thing or 2 from your excellent video. May Jesus Christ bless you and your family

Great vid! You guys should look into doing a test with BrakeAce. Really dial in your braking zones, front to rear wheel distribution and how much of an impact it has on your speed. They've got a great podcast too that really dives deep into how much of a difference brake control makes!
@TheLoamWolf3 күн бұрын
That's a great idea for a future video! We'd love to work with them on something like that.

Thank you! I’m pretty darn happy with it too!

The braking before then fully letting off in certain corners is amazing. Especially when there are roots or off camber if you can ride off them the bike grips so much better. So hard to do all the time perfectly though. Thats why the pros are pros.
@TheLoamWolf4 күн бұрын
Yeah it’s something that on a trail you can repeat over and over will yield way better results as you can experiment with just how hard to brake and what’s too much scrubbing. It really helps to learn that limit and it’s paid off already on my home trails!!

Dude!! I saw people of every age in those shots, love it! Quality content once again...and you inspired me to do some research into this clinic. Also, you turned 42 this month?? What day 👀
@TheLoamWolf3 күн бұрын
Right on thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah there were young tweens up to 60+ years olds there and a wide variety of skills, yet every single person learned safely and left with more skills and confidence and lessons. No matter the experience, and that was pretty awesome! December 19 was the fateful day haha. Well into old man territory now. 😂
@TFritz823 күн бұрын
@TheLoamWolf that's rad! I still haven't been to Windrock and this could be the perfect segway. Happy belated man...my fateful day was the 10th on which I tuned 42 as well hahaha. Right there with ya.

I used to be a race car driving instructor. You could spend $1200* on intake/header/exhaust and gain 0.2sec/lap or $1200 on race tires and gain 2.0 sec/lap or $1200 on a clinic and be 10-15sec/lap faster. 😂 Funny thing is most of the gains came from learning how to brake! *15yrs ago pricing… no idea what that stuff costs now, I only ride bicycles now 😁

Haha spoken like a true professional! It is crazy what we spend money on and what we skimp on when it comes to self improvement.

As someone who isn't great at downhill but loves flowy jump trails, I feel very awkward showing up at Windrock. I'm just doing my best down Talladega and behind me on the shuttle is Aaron, I feel so out of place there haha
@TheLoamWolf2 күн бұрын
We definitely get that! As long as you’re polite and conscious of surroundings, don’t get too hung up on it! I'd say go for it! It's all about having fun, and there are plenty of people at different levels and we like to believe most mountain bikers are pretty cool humans.

Which class was this video? The first class or the later date of Dec 11? Very interested in attending this clinic at a future point. Enjoyed my one day visit to Windrock back in March 2024. Looking forward to future visits. Having taken up DH racing this year at 57, it sounds like a great clinic
@TheLoamWolf4 күн бұрын
This was the first class in late November. I look forward to another one hopefully in 2025.

Way more worth it now that they’re doing private days at the park, I heard the first one was a bit lame with it being interrupted by other riders
@TheLoamWolf4 күн бұрын
The one we were at may have had three or four interruptions in total of the course of two days, which was not bad IMO. And I think three of them were on the same lap. Haha. We could definitely imagine a super busy day at the park would get a bit more frustrating.
@travelthenarrowtrail86604 күн бұрын
Whoa, what a great opportunity to get coaching from these champs! I would have loved to be there and paid for this not doubt.
