My dad got me listening to Aaron Lewis when I was a kid playing Staind in the kitchen. A few years ago we were in obx and he played country boy for me. Aaron Lewis became our go to whenever we were together. I just lost my dad in February. Me my mom my brother and my husband went to an Aaron Lewis concert this past Summer at the bottle and cork in dewy beach. We even bought dad a ticket because we knew he would be there in spirit. My mother and I cried that whole concert. It was such a beautiful night. Thank you Aaron Lewis for making our hearts not hurt so much thru your music. And thank you for making songs that I will forever hear and think of my daddy ❤️

Found this in an interview from Aaron :-) "It is the most uncontrollable thing. There's a song on my new country record that's the full length that's going to be coming out sometime in the first half of next year. That song came vomiting out of me that day - the whole thing came out, just threw up. I didn't sit down with a pen and paper, I sat down and started playing the chord progression in front of the microphone during sound check. And the whole song came out, and it leveled me. I left the stage in tears. I went to my bus and cried in my bed like a little bitch. But the whole song came flying out of me."

I recently found this song and it really hits home for me. I drive a truck for a living and a lot of Aaron’s songs about being on the road and away from family, missing out on life etc really resonates with me.
