One of the greatest duets of all time. They had chemistry and respect for each other as well.

I think Linda often moderated her voice so as not to overpower the person singing with her. This was their performance at the 1990 Grammy Awards. They won the award for this song and Aaron was so nervous during the acceptance speech that he forgot to mention his wife until Linda nudged him to remind him. It was very sweet. The record company was “uncomfortable” with their affection for each other and that didn’t sit well with Linda, so she made sure to kiss him and put her head on his shoulder! I love it! She is great at sticking up for what she believes. Great reaction Harri 🌺✌️

Every time I see this, I cry. The sheer beauty of the song and the performance is overwhelming. Linda is always incredible but Aaron's voice is unique, special and majestic. The vibrato is out of this world. He is a King. When he sang this recently at the tribute to Rondstadt at the Kennedy Center honors at almost 80 years of age, he knocked it out of the ballpark once again.

This is talent that no longer exists in music these days. Pure, and raw, and if you take away the electronics, it would till be perfect. Singers these days use filters, and I cannot stand that robotic voice these singers have now. This is real, and full of soul!!!!!! Thanks!

❤️ Linda tended to always give her duet partners the room to shine. She was so humble with her gift. She wanted them to shine. I've seen her do this so much when she duets live.

Not only two of the best voices ever, but two fine human beings as well. I love that Linda, having been warned not to stand too close to Aaron or display too much affection, did exactly as she pleased. Their love and respect for each other is wonderful. Thanks for your excellent review!

Aaron, oh Aaron. He’s amazing, smoother than honey, and I’m always amazed when I hear someone say they don’t care for him, I’m like WHAT? R u deaf? I adore Aaron, but this piece with Linda, my queen, in the ‘70’s and beyond, is just making me melt into a lil puddle. Wow, an overdose could occur listening to them together, so sweet. This has always been a favorite on my and I’m sad each time it ends, so I hit replay.😍

I remember the first time I ever heard Aaron Neville. WOW...what a voice, what a talent. No one can sing like him. Bravo to them both...even to this day.

This was live. No engineeers. There is a video by a British guitarist with long black hair (he has a KZbin channel) of the "science" behind their voices and why Linda was quieter in the beginning then was more matching with Aaron at the end. The voices were done that way on purpose. Nice video. Thank you very much!

I went to a concert with Linda and the Neville Brothers in San Diego a while back. During their duets, Linda and Aaron were having some fun with it, and it seemed that during one of the songs, they tried to see who could go higher (note-wise) as they sang. Aaron won 😂😂😂 They both have incredible voices, and we are the lucky ones to have heard them join together.

Hey. I just yesterday saw an analysis of this using pitch monitoring software. The very thing about Linda's voice was discussed and they said she did that on purpose to leave a place for her voice to go and they'd seen her do it before. There is a point where Aaron does the same. Beats me. Maybe a bit of both.

I had seen this video before and had the same thought that Aaron's vocal seemed to be mixed at a higher level than Linda's, pretty much throughout the performance though it did get a little better after the beginning. Two performers that sounds at least as good live as on record, so great to have them perform this duet live. I think, but not sure, that this was an Academy Awards show.
