Man the dialogue in Halo and this game particularly; it’s just so so good, just so badass. The parallels between Master Chief and Arbiter are also peak storytelling.

I nearly died when the marines bumped your ghost and then strait up ramned you seconds later to blow up both vehicles. That was hilarious. Your look of dissapointment was so perfect. Yhats how we all felt ALL the time. Yeah...when I say the writing is impeccable, I mostly mean the swapping perspectives. Its very effective story telling. And its important to give complexity to this world showing the cultures and dynamics of the UNSC and those of the Covenant. Its very cool and add so much to the experience.

I'm playing it right now. I haven't played any of them. Got interested because of the TV Show which I'm liking so far. I can say that I'm also really enjoying the games. The story is different then the Show, so now I understand the hate/disappointment for it. Yet I like both.

The Arbiter during CE was probably fighting on the ring, too. One of Thel 'Vadam's unique traits is he would lead and fight with his forces on the ground. So he probably wasn't just sitting in his ship above.

This is easily the best campaign in the series. Halo 3 was such a massive let down in comparison to this game. The writing is Immaculate for a shooter. 1 is very good but 2 is freaking brilliant. Its actually very deep and well rounded for a shooter. You'll find out why.
