Does Emmerdale learn nothing? We have had long drawn out storylines that lost their impact (Emma murdering James, Who Killed Emma? and Lachlan murdering spree). I had hoped that when Rebecca departed that whatever happened to Seb would be dealt with quickly. The current storyline is poor and only diguised by the excellent acting or Danny, Ryan and (although she doesn't know it Lily). Emmerdale really needs to get a grip and start writing more original stories

Who is Lilly? The stories have been bad since the end of 2015 though (in general).

I know and the Lucky murdering spree didn't extend to Mother Teresa Rebecca because of Ian. Why not send Ross and Rebecca off by themselves to New Zealand or have them unfortunately have a terrible accident where Rebecca doesn't make it. Sorry not sorry really don't like her character ¬_¬

@@MerimaTropoja ED winning more means nothing: Those awards are a joke. ED had its biggest year from the last 10 years in 2013 and it won pretty much nothing. It truly outshined the other soaps that year. Ian that came from HO didn´t do a good job. All the Whites and Robert stuff last year that lasted SO long was plain bad. And the new ones don´t seem too promising. Of course there are always good things too. The Rhona rape story was great for example. Not to mention the actress was amazing.

@@toggiejohnson9741 They couldn't have Rebecca leave without Seb. That would have been very bad writing, even for a soap opera. Rebecca would never leave Seb. She's too selfish. I wish she was gone and Seb stayed too, but I don't think there was anyway to remove her from the story neatly and still do that. And just killing her off would be laughable.

@@dannynix4546 actually it was because Rebecca wanted a new life elsewhere and just because she is "his mother" so has more rights according to near enough everyone I argue with, took Seb with her because she is a selfish character to the end who only cares about herself.

Toggie Johnson the only selfish person is aaron. he makes me sick being so whiney and that isn't even his kid. have your own kid if you feel that strongly about it.

Yes, Aaron was being selfish. I'm not going to argue with that. But have you even seen any of the scenes with Rebecca? Being selfish is her primary purpose. I'm surprised she even have Seb up in March. That was the most motherly, adult thing she ever did. The only unselfish person in this entire thing is Robert, which is a testament to how much he's changed in the last few years.

She literally moves away from everyone Seb has known to a place he doesn't know with a man she is barely with while she has a brain injury that makes her need a nanny there with her. She does this because she does not want to stay in Emmerdale, to hell with Robert the person who has been raising Seb alongside his husband. She is the most selfish character I have seen. All she has ever been is selfish and hates it when people call her on it. NotContinuum I agree Robert is the only one who has been totally unselfish

Oh no. This sucks from every direction. I was always wondering why Robert was so interested suddenly in keeping Rebecca happy. I mean, it makes some sense to keep everything friendly, but giving Seb over and having to beg for scraps is a bit much. Now we know why. By giving Seb to Rebecca and keeping her happy and grateful for making this easy, Robert has more negotiating power. If the courts got involved, the boys could get significantly less than now. Robert is a businessman. He knows how to get the most out of a deal. Hopefully Rebecca is just being freaked out and will calm down once Robert talks to her.

Aaron needs better impulse control, his rash behaviour has always ended badly. But I don't see Rebecca and Ross lasting, she will and up alone, prob have trouble finding work b/c of her brain injury, the money will run out, she will won't be able to cope and she will give Seb back to them.

The child they are talking about is one that Robert conceived with someone else only a few months after they got married the first time. Calling Robert a saint is fucking hilarious nonsense.

Aaron (and Robert) are apparently well aware of the problem with Aaron and Liv's criminal history, but a few episodes down the track they seem to forget this will also be a problem when they try to have a surrogate child of their own or try to adopt.
