The thing that sets Aaron apart from all other QBs in history, including Mahomes, is the precision he’s still able to achieve without a platform. Marino had the precision but couldn’t do it off platform, and Mahomes can do it off platform but doesn’t have the same precision. Mix in the arm strength of Favre and you basically have Aaron rodgers. Dude is the BOAT.

A lot of people recently have been comparing Mahomes to Aaron... IMO it's not as close as you think. Aaron has a much more minimal & quicker release. You can see Mahomes wind up on his throws. AR also has more nuance to his throws and can adjust his velocity, height & distance, to make it easier on his receivers or throw them open from literally anywhere on the field.
@tonylay60492 жыл бұрын
I think the throw to Jennings on 3rd and long in 4th quarter at the Super Bowl belongs on this list. The Hail Mary’s are nice (especially the Detroit one) but there is still a lot of luck involved. If the receiver hadn't been interfered with that would have been known as one of the greatest throws of all time. He flipped his hips rolling left and immediately threw it 74 yards in the air perfectly on the money. Now if you include his first TD pass as a starter ('08 opener) you will have my undying respect forever. That's the other throw of his nobody ever appreciates. Another supremely underrated one is the 2010 regular season game against the Falcons where Rodgers threw the fastest laser of all time to Nelson in the final seconds. The throw to Janis is one that still amazes me, not too mention the first throw to Janis on that same drive. That Janis scenario sums up McCarthy as a head coach and how he wasted 5 yrs of Rodgers prime. You can play to win the game with a 2pt conversion and let your best player dictate the outcome of the game. Or you can decide to kick the extra point (which isn’t a gimme) and Hope to win in OT with the chance of never touching the ball. You let Rodgers decide the outcome of the game with a 2pt conversion every single time!!

A great scrambler, super quick snap release, a howitzer of an arm, and as accurate as any QB who ever played. Yes he had a down year and he is getting older but he still has a top 5 arm at age 39. Talent wise I think Allen has the most potential, but he is too arrogant and thinks he can do it all and sometimes he can. The best to ever do it. I mean for real he’s the thrower ever in the NFL.

This is why he’s my favorite qb to use in madden 😂😂😂

I saw the one to Adams live and honestly thought I'd seen the greatest throw of all time

The pack is my team. Aaron Rodgers is the most skilled qb tested on a field. But I'm not a fan he has laid down on us several times again the 49ers.

The throw to Geronimo Allison in the back of the endzone against chi when he came back on a broken fuckin leg is one of his most unbelievable throws of all time when taken into context of the injury, the game itself, and the comeback win.

probably the greatest arm talent in the history of the NFL. Dan Marino is up there too
@michaelwill78112 жыл бұрын
Marino was my #1 for the longest time but Rodgers edged him out as his ability to move and throw under pressure was just better. Both are all time greats though.
