as you know, I posted this about a month ago. but I felt like it could be longer, I felt like more notes could be included. and i finally finished this. for real. this is the FINAL 'Aaron Tveit's Vocal Range' like…I won’t delete this and post a new one again.
lmk if I got some of the notes wrong, please, I don’t have perfect pitch, and I can’t identify notes by just hearing them. I just have an okay ear, so I mostly play the notes on the piano or compare the notes to other singers hitting a certain note,,,,so, there probably are a few flaws. notice one? TELL ME.
but anyways, I hope you enjoy this vocal range video of my favorite musical theatre tenor.
tried to make it as HD as possible lol

ok so the ”F sharp” in Why God Why was NOT an F sharp and was actually a G. and the ”C” in Sandy, on ”why” was not a C but was actually a C sharp. so do not listen to what the screen says in those clips!!!!!!!! I’ll try to make the next Vocal Range video I make more correct. if I ever do make another one for another artist. it’s hard to find every Single thing the artist has sung, this video is just a year of me hyperfixating on this dude and watching and listening to everything he’s ever done, EVER. and my interest in vocals PLUS my knowledge of the Aaron Tveitography led to me making this video.

I’m skeptical about casting Sweeney Todd as someone typically categorized as a lyric tenor, but I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility that Tveit has an under-utilized baritone register. The low F# sounded solid! I’m hoping they keep the keys the same for Sweeney, or close to the originals. Perhaps they’ll raise the key for Epiphany à la George Hearn? I’d be surprised if he is able to replicate a true bass-baritone or dramatic baritone sound but I’m hoping he can produce a light baritone sound which has worked for Sweeney in the past.

I'm here after finding out he's going to be Sweeney Todd, he's clearly struggling with those lower notes as they don't fall within his comfortable tessitura, Aaron is a tenor not a bass-baritone, it will be very interesting to see how he handles the role without the same richness lower down as performers like Len Cariou, Norm Lewis and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

@@ChienaAvtzon I’ve heard that isn’t the case and that they’d be able to transpose because the music director had different transpositions or whatever. Time will tell☺️! Either Aaron’s working to sing down there or they’re transposing it for him:) But alas, all I know is that this is his dream role and he’d never take on a role he couldn’t DO. Aaron has always done roles because he truly is allured by the story or the character, he’s never been someone to just take on a role to have work or because it’s an iconic role. He’ll be able to sing this one way or another. They will make it work. Be optimistic. I see you around hating everywhere.

@@ChienaAvtzon Hugh Panaro is a tenor and has played both Anthony and Sweeney. Idk if they raised the keys or not because I don’t have any audios but he was apparently very good from what I’ve heard. And he still sounds good. You CAN work on your chest voice. I have faith in that they’ll do good with this. Aaron cares so much about his voice and wouldn’t do something that would DESTROY it. I think you should have hope and be a little optimistic. And he’s only doing it for 12 weeks.

@@asnalelo.165 Panaro has always had a good lower register but for Sweeney he sang the original keys (including Epiphany, which the production had previously raised a step for Norm Lewis if I recall correctly) in an exceptionally dark baritone. At other points, he brightens his voice which adds an interesting dynamic. For all intents and purposes, he’s a baritenor. Here is “My Friends”: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKrJqahmnr1paqMfeature=shared

so do I! the YT channel Mr. Golightly made a video showcasing some great vocals by theatre stars, and he included him singing Defying Gravity but from the show either the night BEFORE this performance or the night after. but the note he hit there was like a peak E5. an Eb5 but a little sharp so that it was almost an E5. so he most likely can!

would love to make more of these. though, it’s easier to make these on musical theatre performers I’m a fan of. I’ve had a big hyperfixation on Aaron since late 2020 so that’s how I’m able to concentrate enough to find out all of these notes and videos. it might take a bit longer to make ones on other performers and especially ones I don’t know much about except for their name and what they look like, like Jamie Muscato for example. but thank you for the recommendation. I can’t promise you the video will happen but I’ll try my best to try and make it, if that makes sense.

@@asnalelo.165 Oh okay I see. There is a lot of stuff on KZbin if you type his name. Maybe you find a new favourite performer with him. He's definitely worth checking out. :) no worries, take your time - only if you want to make a video about his vocal range, of course :))) and I totally get your hyper fixation on Aaron, he's one of my favs too along with Jamie and Ramin Karimloo 😊
