Very interesting video. As a firearms instructor, I do on occasion use blanks to help beginners who are frightened of the noise and kickback of the guns, to determine if they’re going to be viable shooters. For example, I had a young lady who was thinking about joining the police or the military but had never fired any type of gun. Not even BB guns. So I took her to my backyard range and had her shoot several air guns and rifles. She was actually doing well, but initially she was actually flinching before squeezing the trigger, which she also yanked/pulled a few times until I showed her the difference and effect each had, along with proper marksmanship techniques. So I graduated her to actual firearms and we met at the range, and I gave her a .22 caliber bolt action rifle loaded with blanks. She fired the first shot and had closed her eyes. I let her continue to shoot and she closed her eyes for almost every shot! I had her reload the rifle and she was shocked to see that she had been shooting blanks! I asked her if she wanted to try shooting actual live ammo and she said that she did. So I let her load the ammunition and then shoot when ready. She kept her eyes closed on the first shot and of course missed the target altogether. She opened her eyes and asked what happened. I told that she had to open her eyes to shoot. So she tried again and this time hit paper but missed the target, so we worked on her aim and technique and she was actually doing very well. I moved her up to 9mm handgun, then back to rifle but this time an AR-15 with .22 conversion, then .38 special handgun then the AR-15 back to 5.56, then .357 handgun and a .45 pistol, and finally a 12 gauge security shotgun. She had fired about 100 rounds through each firearm, and had done very well. She said that it was the most fun and best workout she had had in a very long time. She came to practice several times with me and one day said that she was enlisting in the US Air Force and feeling really ready to shoot there. About 9 months or so later I received a call from her that she had earned her marksmanship ribbon and was the best female shot in her training flight. I asked her if she had kept her eye open and she laughed and sheepishly said yes.

From what I’ve seen of her now, she’s better qualified and prepared than a lot of male police officers. @nocooldudes7614 that was the slide and outer barrel. I own the exact same model (just a newer iteration) according to my American friends, their glocks do the same thing, but is significantly less pronounced. Alas, it's not the best Glock 17 replica in terms of looks, and doesn't get above 300fps using red gas on a warm day (18 or so °C) using 0.2g BBs. And most use green gas on a day like that. And you'd be looking at about 270 FPS. For the most part these WE glock replicas are based on the tokyo marui (TM) glock replicas, including the power output. Which is lower in Japan than it is in the UK. And all TM replicas are built to comply with Japanese law. At the end of the day, even a 200fps airsoft gun will hurt a bit. Weaker airsoft guns feel like a strong flick on the ear. Higher powered ones, like bolt actions, which can shoot at up to 2.32j at most airsoft sites (I believe law is 2.5j) is like a punch from a child but the point of impact has a size of an ant. Which does hurt quite a bit, which is why most sites have minimum engagement distances (MED) with those specific kinds of replicas. I myself own a DMr, which my local site allows to shoot at 1.88j, but mine, 1.1j, which is under the limit for most airsoft guns, but as it looks like a dmr (old school m16 stock, and "sniper" scope and is locked to semi auto) they ask me to abide by the MED for semi locked dmrs, which is 15m. Idrc bout this coz I work there too, and I know it'll stop people complaining about me not sticking to the MED, which isn't fun to talk to people about sometimes

The Retay one is actually a modified traumatic ammo gun, they come from Turkey. In my country they sell exactly the same model with the barrel unblocked. they shoot 9mm gunpowder propelled rubber bullets. I use them as self defense and for sport. Usually they require Turkish ammo either from the brand "Rubber Ball" or "Ozkursan" they tend to block quite often duo either the brand of ammo, or lack of lubrication. You need to clean them after 50 shots for sure. I have the Retay s2022 best used with ammunition "Rubber Ball", "Ozkursan" works too but the charge is too heavy and might blow up the barrel or block more often. The barrel of these are specially threaded if you try to use normal bullets instead of rubber bullets it would lock up the barrel and explode the chamber.

Its a strange thing. During lockdown I was thinking about getting a airsoft 'sniper' style rifle to use in my back garden for trigger & breathing control. But was told I couldn't have one unless it was in some stupid bright colour, or that it was under something called IKARA or whatever its called (???) Where I 'pretend' to be a soldier running about in the woods playing war games! - something that I used to do when about 8 yrs old, but not so easy when you're 60 with a bad back and knees. I wanted to keep my trigger & breathing control in practise while my main range, Bisley in Surrey was closed during Covid19. Because thats where I regularly use my" fullbore rifles" for practice and competition (.308 / .284 / .223 & 6.5 Creedmoor) So even being a Firearms Certificate holder of around 25 yrs, and owning the above rifles, I still have to have some proof of being some soppy wannabe soldier!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless its in bright pink or something similar. But virtually anyone over 18 can buy a proper 12 ft lbs air rifle that is a lot more powerful. WTF! Only in the UK.

Sadly Tony Blair and his cronies decided that Airsoft guns could be used to rob banks, so needed to be taken off the market. They argued they could be converted to fire real rounds (laughable as they would blow up), or simply used to intimidate (who’s going to be stupid enough to try that, when they could be shot by armed police if caught). As a result, the various vendors clubbed together to come up with UKARA, as a means of keeping them out of the hands of people using them to intimidate, and in the hands of the regular players. No UKARA means a brightly painted two tone for the general public, in order to distinguish it from the real deal.

@Viscous Shear Even in California you can still buy an AK or SCAR at least and no one has to come to your house to check safes and whatnot. Fast forward nearly twenty years and my Mrs asked me what I'd like for my birthday? I replied 'a replica of a Sig Sauer P228 pistol please'. She spent a number of weeks chasing this before giving up. The closest she came to a replica was a deactivated one, but the seller wanted six hundred quid. The one I wanted to get requires proof you have a UKARA licence! The funny thing is, the local open market has a stall run by Abdul and he has on display a load of different plastic BB handguns and rifles, one of which is a mighty impressive Franchi SPAS-15! That is until you pick it up and reality kicks in. He also has a P228 and again, picking it up and holding it you realise that it is just a plastic toy, looks real from a distance, but is just a plastic toy. I bought it from him, a fiver. Strange how something that looks the part from a distance you can buy from a market stall!

The law was introduced that made blank firing guns treated the same as real guns if you commit a crime with the same sentencing. That wasn't enough though clearly, Blair banned all handguns and introduced this top-firing and orange end/coloured rack BS stuff. Ironically, blank firing expelling from the top makes them more dangerous for users.

may I kindly correct your error when saying that you cannot hurt anyone with blank rounds. You can. With blank rounds, they can still kill someone with them. If you look on an SA80, you may notice a yellow magazine and barrel attachment? that is for blank rounds because on some weapons systems, it will release incredibly hot gasses when fired, that can cause 3rd degree burns if you even stand too close to it.
@Mihail2204 Жыл бұрын
It has that yellow magazine because the magazine was meant for blanks, so you could not put live ammunition without modifying the magazine as an easy way to differentiate between a real magazine and the one loaded with blanks, the yellow muzzle attachment is a blank adapter because it needs back pressure to cycle, so you can either drill the barrel and permanently weld pins in the barrel to make enough back pressure or temporarily attach a muzzle device for it to cycle

I've just into Airsoft. Most of the guns have a "Hop Up" control. Depending on the weight of your BBs you need to adjust this. It's an inbuilt system that applies backspin to the BB. It varies on every gun and for every weight (some brand) of BBs. If your pistol is shooting too low then you should give the bb more backspin to keep it level.

Mainly because they ARENT buying them legally from gun dealers, but they are still SOMEHOW able to easily acquire LOTS of illegal guns(which the left then use to justify disarming law abiding Americans)! 👉 That's not to mention Barack Obama's INTENTIONAL arming of Mexican drug cartels during operation "Fast and Furious", by ALLOWING criminal straw buyers to procure weapons from legitimate gun stores, then ALLOWING them to transport those guns across the Mexican border to the cartels!
