Andy, you made a comment about carrying this down the high street. For someone new to the sport, can you do a video on how to safely transport your guns from A to B, carrying bags and cases, please? I know this is very basic stuff but I see so many lads out with air rifles going through my local forest like they were waiting for squirrels to ambush them en masse that I thought it might be worth a mention.

Hi Andy, love your channel. With regards the magazine issue, they look very similar to the standard Artemis/Diana/Snowpeak generic units. There are better replacement units for these magazines on ebay, which function far more reliably than the factory supplied versions and often hold more pellets than the standard unit as well.

Vought was a name associated with several aerospace companies in the USA. Perhaps they just thought it sounded a cool name. The bolt seemed very clunky and a bit awkward to use. Apart from that a good accurate rifle. Cheers Andy. 🙂
@adventurebeforedementia.224811 ай бұрын
When the bolt is drawn fully back it wobbles around with at least 2mm of float….which makes it difficult to push forward as it doesn’t align properly unless you guide it with your thumb on the back of the bolt…..you can see this when Andy’s using it on his range….trust me it’s not nice ,maybe the wood stock version is better 🤷🏼♂️
@bayouflats505411 ай бұрын
@@adventurebeforedementia.2248. Yea. I was thinking, it looks like the problem Andy is speaking of is more likely too much play with the bolt track. ?

Since there was already a "Corsair" named pcp, they just found the manufacturer's name of the airplane bearing that name, which is Chance Vought, often short named Vought. Consolidated (Vought), Ling Temco Vought are also names in the aerospace area of the past. Deck landing US Navy fighters, especially. Sturdy, strangely & aggressive looking were their characteristics. The jet versions however were also quite accident prone.. a bit "Chancy"......))) And in some jurisdictions the appearnce of this pcp might also be a bit chancy.

I think it pointless to make an ambidextrous stock if you can't swap the bolt side and possibly the mag loading . Also what would be the advantage of a silencer with the clatter of the bolt ? That said it does seem that pretty much all guns are accurate these days.

Hi Andy, it amazes me that if this rifle delivered one sixth the power and fired a plastic bb you would need a UKARA number and be over 18 to purchase this gun. But because it delivers six times that power and fires a lead projectile you only have to be 18 years or over. What crazy times we live in. PS I do love the look of this air rifle though.

SMK/Snowpeak? Well, I like a a pellet rifle to look like a pellet rifle. With a nice wooden stock, beech or walnut are all ok by me, not too keen on the huge buddy bottle config though. Horses for courses though it's all a matter of taste, some even like the AR15 or Jonny Seven as I call them, manufacturers have to keep the money rolling in. After years of Rimfire and Centre fire, I still prefer the pellet guns and own several, and even a springer! Still remember my first real gun, a BSA Meteor, I bought it new from a local sports shop when I was thirteen about £15. Walked into the shop with my friend also thirteen and walked away with this beautiful new pellet rifle.

Yet another re-branded Snow-Peak Chinese PCP. I'm sure SMK import this rifle or something almost identical and it probably costs less. I quite like this design although I did prefer the one with the wooden stock that was available from SMK a few years ago, but having shouldered one I found it quite nose-heavy for a PCP. One of the good things about PCPs is that they put the centre of balance really close to the body, this pushes it away again.

Hi Andy, As always, a great review by you and Mrs AAR. I dont think you can argue with that at all. I think its nice to see someone launch something a little different, meaning the air cylinder in the barrel. The accuracy was fantastic. I would have liked to have seen a wooden stock. I think the cocking lever looked great and minus that, I think the rifle looks like a single barrel 12 bore shotgun. This isnt a gripe, I dont think the gun deserves it. I dont like a rounded fore end. I like them to be pointed. Just my own preference. In my humble opinion, overall, a great looking gun and with that accuracy, it deserves to do well. Thank you.
