@@Valkyrie11b you have it backwards. You can't have light (good) without dark (bad). Not bad without good. Unfortunately there's plenty of dark bad in the military probably more than the civilian world, but it can set you up for good light in civilian world when you do your contract with honorable discharge and get the hell out of there instead of trying to see if you can fuck around for a whole twenty years when you don't have too. More unfortunately, there's even more dark bad in the marines and the army, for no extra good light. So that means, avoid the fuck out of the marines and army.

@golfery51192 ай бұрын
Yoooo.......2011???? Its now thirteen years later and youre now thirteen years older. Strongly recommend the following: 1) dont join the military at your age. 2) try to join national guard/reserves instead of active duty. 3) just listen, for the love of god, just listen: dont join the Army at your age. If you can join tbe Air Force or the coast guard instead of the Army....join the Air Force or Coast Guard instead of the Army. Just listen. Aaron Battley literally had a video going over the branches where he literally said himself the *Air Force will treat you like an ADULT whereas the others (Army) will treat you like a KID* Theres a laundry list of problems you would have joining the Army in your thirties that you would not have near to the same degree if you joined the Air Force or Coast Guard. Just fucking listen, dude. The Army, especially if you are enlisted instead of an officer, if more for young kids. The Air Force and Coast Guard are more mature, which is going to fit you because youre a whole lot older. Please ask. Dont just "do research" but please ask before you just jump into the Army at your age. Itll save you a load of headache and heartache.

Hey! I've been watching you for a while, and I and currently in the process of joining the Canadian Navy Reserves as a Marine Technician, fixing engines. But my main goal is to go to the royal military college and become a Naval Systems Engineering Officer, the officer in charge of marine techs, so I am racking up experience to help me get in. I went to talk with the recruiter with my parents and they helped convinced them that I should join the reserves. They still don't want me to go to the royal military college because I will be locked in for so long, and I was never in cadets, so they think I may not like it. But I feel I can't give up, because it my destiny. 🙂

I always wanted to be a soldier ever since i was 4 years old. I served 5 years in the army cadets from 13 until 18. I tried to join the army pass the selection course but got rejected because i got Autism, then tried to join the israeli army but got rejected because I didn't speak Hebrew. I then joined the airforce but scored low on the aptitude test, so only thing i got was chef. After serving for a year after basic, i went to do my chef training, 5 weeks in, i droped out, i worked on the base for a bit until i could retake the test to get something else but failed. Therefore i was removed from military service. I wanted to serve my country and get a chance to go on deployments but i was denied that time and time again. Now as a civilian, im trying to find my Purpose in life, i lost parts of my confidence, i don't know if i even have a right to call myself a veteran after all i done. I just feel like a huge let down. My advice, enjoy every single minute of the military, the good and the bad, it will all pay off in the end. They will help you to be better

I just did meps n got a 54 asvab (which is pretty good since i dropped outta hs in 9th grade), just finished the sophia program for 15 college credits, tmr i talk to my recruiter abt what mos i want n the ship date (i might choose 74D, CBRN Specialist in army) my families worried abt me joinin rn cuz of the trump situation lol, also i havent yelled in like 8 years so my voice is bouta be 🦅

So did you do your bct ait or did you need to do the Sophia program before you could

@@vylenkortez2621 I only did meps then after went back home to do sophia, theres 3 tiers of recruits based on education and my recruiter said to get 15 college credits in sophia so ill be the same as a tier 1 recruut which is someone with a highschool diploma, my recruiter said ill most likely ship out to bct and ait in September, im 19 btw, idk if ur also gonna do the sophia program but it cost i think $100 to start a sophia account then $25 after doing the required classes, i did meps before sophia because if i did sophia first then didnt pass meps then itd be a waste of money, your recruiter would prolly help u with it if you were in my situation

you realize fewer than 10% of positions in the military are combat related right?
@MitchellR-vi2vcАй бұрын
@soggyhasclips true and even tho it's not likely unless more unexpected wars come to fruition there's always that chance you could be deployed to combat

Im not gonna lie i really am considering enlisting, maybe the air force or whatever i consider joining, listening to all of this gave me some perspective and honestly i am afraid wondering what am i trying to get myself into, keep in mind i am 26 going on 27 and already regretting where i currently am in my life and i want out. I dont know if its just me, i dont want joining to be the biggest mistake of my life simply because i want to change who i am and be able to have the strength to achieve a successful life

My military service in my country starts in less than two weeks. I have to see if the "pros and cons" are similar or totally different to sweet America.
