Ukay seemed off in this. He is a legend that has been in the scene for a long while. He definitely comes from that old school Icee era where incorporating some breakdancing moves and having some major athleticism in covering ground of the dance floor or balance moves were big. He might not be doing the Iso shit like Waydi could but his strength allows his ground game to be unreal. He is the equivalent of a breakdancer who specializes in powermoves. Look him up vs Jeems and his round ender in the last round.

Well said. Ukay's groove, dynamics, and power was what put him at the top in his prime. I think he's still a very very good dancer that probably need to evolve his style more to keep up with the new generation.

Further context in case you don't know the format for ILoveThisDance (event the battle took place): Each dancer freestyles to a song their opponent has prepared for in round 1 then round 2 they do their choreo/routines to the songs. It's one of the more fun events cause you know you are gonna get real freestyling to unfamiliar music.

With Ukay I know that his older battles have a good reputation from what I've seen he's shown really dope things in freestyles and judge demo's. My boy metal don't fuck with ukay like that😂 This was def one of his weaker battles though. Peep his 2 v 2 battle against waydi/rochka when he teamed up with miracle or you can go old school where he battled the twins in the finals at juste debout 2011. He held his own against the twins there.
