12:48 lowkey one of my favorite rounds of all time. Having done dance on my own time for the last few years, I really appreciate that literally all four of criminalz timed the small parts of that set so well. For example, that little snap from fluid arm movement to sharp outreached hands also hitting at the same point of the snare in the track. They all know they're going to hit that. When that phasing sound hits at the "drop", it's earned because they all know they're hitting that. Criminalz have a fantastic sense of timing and its why every set they do in this comp comes off so much better than most of their opponent's. They keep them short so they don't outstay their welcome, and they aren't just performing the set for the sake of it. They have a sense for how the choreo will match to the beat that's really organic. I've even seen dancers that are amazingly talented screw up sets (thinking particularly of Dykens and Zyko in 2017/18) because even though it's a great set with great dancers, it doesn't really fit to the track and they end up missing the timing on a move because they aren't hitting the same stuff.

I discovered your channel last night and I'm glad I did, you have a lot of dope content. First off I want to address the "thing" that you allude to in many of your videos but don't often come out and say in that I think you don't want to come off as a "hater". When referring to The Twins and dancers like them you mention how they are signature heavy and not so much "groove" focused. This makes me think of the age old discussion between underground rappers and mainstream rappers. While many people from "The Culture" will look at a Drake, Chris Brown, Migos etc and say they aren't authentic because of reasons A,B and C, the reality is that is what people(for better of for worse) want to see, want to consume and will gravitate towards. In the context of what you are doing here, you being as educated as you are in movement and dance and the twins being as good as they are at putting on a show with their blow ups and signatures, it makes sense to say that the ideal situation would be a marriage between the two schools of thought. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Would also be a dope topic for a video, the concept of "Underground Rap" vs "Mainstream Rap" but in the context of dance. Peace bro.

A few things: 1) You coming back after your camera died kinda gave me a jump scare. 2) I really hope you keep the podcast going. The knowledge in those is top tier, it’s just a shame a lot of people can’t be bothered to watch longer videos. 3) That first Korean guy was real nice.

Criminalz were better here, but china is better than korea. i always skip their rounds when I come back to this one, but if you want a great battle check out freedom city justiciers vs ruige driven. great battle from the more well known youngins.
