I agree with the highlights being Laurent and Kuty. Laurent is criminally underrated I mean he is one of the purest/livest freestylers I know and you can sense it. Almost no planning or calculating, he is extremely present and doesn't give a fuck about hitting every single beat. Another underrated thing is his creativity. I've seen way too many original moves and concepts from him and he only uses them once! I'd say respectfully that his approach to freestyle is very different from the Zyko-Dykens approach. You could also see how well he did at Battle Bad.

I agree, but I noticed when he knows he's gonna be on tv, he usually pulls out the normal power moves and he gets real repetitive. I love him, but kinda same with Larry. Underground battles like these tho, and their workshops they go all out and prove they're one of the best dancers out there

kuty and Laurent was nuts, Laurent basically killed the 1st round "Larry style" by continually accenting that rattle bass noise, but was only cause the song was a loop so it felt right, but he also killed the 2nd round which I don't ever see Larry being able to do. Laurent definitely dances more than Larry, he makes it look so easy in a good way. Also you funny as hell metal.
@tl03rizz193 жыл бұрын
Lol you hilarious man. But yeah I understand the difference you're trying to convey with Larry n Laurent. Kuty 1st round was crazy. When you put on the right track, these type of dancers will go off. Kefton is hit or miss with me but it still amazes me how guys that are tall like him are able to find ways to move and isolate.

I think to me - and keep in mind this is my own opinion and thought process and could be wrong - but to me, when I see Larry and Laurent as people, it seems like as they've grown as people and as dancers, they've obviously worked REALLY well as a duo dance team and growing up it must have been fun to be opposites of one another. It was one way of differentiating themselves as twins. Larry would hit all the hard beat kill stuff and be more stiff and robotic, whereas Laurent worked on being soft, present and his flows. As a duo this combo kills other double teams because there's so much texture and variety and the twin-effect makes it hit harder too once you have that type of connection with a dance partner. As they've evolved as dancers, both have doubled down on this differentiating aspect of them as twins and as people and unfortunately for Larry, Laurents style lends better to evolving and refinement. It just is what it is. They've both evolved for sure, not to take anything away from Larry. He's stone cold and these two are some of my favourite dancers ever but objectively Laurent is so ahead of Larry now. Regardless, I'm more of a Larry fan just because of the nature of me loving underdogs. When Larry does something different or tries to evolve - it makes me happy. He's really trying and it makes me happy seeing Laurent try push him.

Say whattttt???😲 Man that's my thought all along. I really don't know why Redbull France didn't just do us here in South Africa a favour and just send the twins irrespective of wildcards. Lau win by default. Anyone who wants to disagree...😢lets take a moment of silence for your honesty. Lau would have blasted through that competition with those tracks. The Deejay woukd have blown his mind. No seriously. Congrats to Soyuz for his win. But it would have been a treat if they invited Lau.

Bruh im with you on the Laurent vibe. Have been for a very long time... He isn't locked into having to facilitate a certain style. The first time I really saw it was the Kids battle Lau's third round was classic and it was like completely free. The creativity with Lau is always on full display. No slight against Larry but Lau is a spiritual experience.

My only critique is I feel you were pushing this point a little too early. Around the time I first noticed you pointing out the difference, Larry still had that spunk.. I guess the ability to not be over technical and for his rounds to not feel choppy. Over time though, what you were saying then became more and more objective.. and it kind of stopped being about the difference in styles. Laurent has taken a strong command, and I can’t help but think it’s all of that work on the side. I’m sure Larry does just as much, but if you keep up with the IGs.. Laurent is always working on his style on and off the camera.
