Ever since he became the center of produce 101 season 2, he has gotten so much hates. The haters said something like "why did he became the center", "he act cute too much", "he is so feminine, like girl", they also judged for his look and assumed his sexuality bassed on how he acted and made rumors about him being gay because he is not masculine enough when he himself never said anything about his sexuality. They called him that in a bad way, as an insult. "I'm not the kind of boy you've seen before" and "I'm not the kind of boy you looking for" are for the haters that always talk bad about him for being feminine and not so masculine like what they expected him for being a boy, that's why the dance is not hard and not as masculine. The lyrics are like he will do it even the haters don't like it because it's him anyway, he just will continue being himself. The red stains on his outfit are blood as a symbol that he was hurt and bleeding inside his heart because of the hurtful comments the haters made for him. As for why it's rose scent kiss, because the concept of this song is for celebrating for him officially being an adult in Korea, he turned 20 (korean age) this year. And I saw some tweets on twitter that said you will get rose, scent and kiss as gifts when you become an adul in Kr, I'm not sure about this one tho, please correct me if I'm wrong.

This was the same thing with bts jimin. People called him feminine and called him gay. Personally i think these korean idols can be whoever they want. Their sexuality does not matter to others. Deahwi can be gay or he can be straight. No one can judge him because he is being himself. I thinks that is what he is saying from this song. He is expressing his own feelings and that is great. He is so talented and he looks beautiful. That's all matters to the fans.

The song is about him going on despite people always having bad stuff to say about him. It tells us how he will continue living the way he wants without caring about what other poeple would say. The blood splatter on his outfit symbolizes the hurt people have given him ever since (the outfit is his personal idea). The black lipstick worn by the backup dancers symbolizes the bad stuff people have said about him.

I feel like 'I'm not the kind of guy you've seen before/are looking for' is him saying, yeah maybe I'm more feminine and don't have a fragile masuclinity but so what? that's me, I'm not like most guys but it doesn't matter because I'm like this for me and not for you guys, who are searching for something else. His sexuality doesn't have anything to do with how he expresses himself in his looks etc, he might be straight or he might not be but in the end its not our business and I don't think this MV should be taken as a statement about his sexuality, I see it more connected to his self expression and him saying that he isn't about fullfilling the publics expectations, he is about being himself. That might differ from the norm but its him and he will continue to be the way he wants. Still I think this song was very brave of him, people put all these ideals on how men are supposed to be especially with idols and I know Daehwi differing from that is one of the things that brought him so much admiration and popularity but at the same time it has also caused him a lot of hate. It's not easy to truly be yourself but he is doing that, never afraid to speak up against people who judge him, and I'm proud of him for that and thankful someone like him exists for this generation of kpop. Sexuality truly shouldn't matter in this conversation, all boys should be free to express themselves however they want without being bound to masculinity standards. Anyways this song made me hope that Daehwi will become this kpop generations Taemin, they have a similar vibe in how they push boundaries and their dancing. I loved this song so much

If anything I feel the video depicts the meaning perfectly. It's kind of his way of saying "I'm not going to quit being myself to placate the haters, that's not who I am; the people who love me will accept me exactly as I am and not go around assuming shit about me just from looking." The video itself oozes pure Daehwi, so it gives off that vibe of "Go ahead and assume what you want, this is me and your judgement doesn't define what this is. *drops mic like a beautiful pro*" 🤷🤷🤷

He actually wrote this song to his haters because they assumed his sexuality and said he was gay (using it as an insult n saying he’s too feminine etc.) he has already said rumors like that get on his nerves and that he is not gay. to irritate the haters even more he made this song especially sexy and feminine saying he doesn’t care what they think or say he’s just gonna be himself.
