For all of the people who are wondering what the hell the ending means, let me clarify: It is considered good luck in japan to dream about Mt. Fuji, an eagle, and an eggplant on the first day of the new year. This ending has all of these, AND it's after you've finished Day 365. Also, this game was made in Japan. From that, I think we all understand what this ending means.

The eggplant, the hawk, and mt fuji exploding in your dream means that you’re going to have good luck for the next year according to Japanese superstition. Plus it’s not really an “ending” since the game goes on forever, but after this it just starts a new year and you go back to square one. There’s never really an “ending” in dreams.

Its actually a common misconception, the designer actually said in an interview that's shown in another video where he says that it's supposed to be interpreted many ways but the drug was supposed to reference is supposed to be a bit obvious but not the main focus, it's more about the abstraction itself.

I'd say this is more of an easter egg than an ending. It's Hatsuyume, which is a dream involving a hawk, an eggplant, and Mt. Fuji that you get on New Year's Eve symbolizing good luck in the coming year.

There are Symbol of lucky dream when they dream on new year's first day. It is 'Ichifuji Nitaka Sannasubi(一富士二鷹三茄子)', and it translated to 'First fuji(Mt. Fuji), Second hawk, Third eggplant. So the ending of this game, which ends in 365 days, means lucky dream.

OK, this game was made by a guy who had a dream journal for 10 years, this is his dreams, moving into walls/objects takes you to a diffrent area, all areas are the same but have random textures and effects occasionally, the dreams last 5 mins, they end if u run into the scary man or fall off a cliff, if u run into the scary man the next day will be a strange video, and you do not get credit for that day, u win by getting credit for all 365 days.
