STORY
In 2019, the majestic Italian Palace that had been the pride of the Giovanni family for over a century was suddenly abandoned, leaving the town baffled. This grand estate, a stunning example of 18th-century architecture adorned with carved stone, statues, and intricate designs, had been in the Giovanni family since the 1890s. Sir Alessandro Giovanni ensured the palace remained in the family, passed down through generations.
In the latter part of the 20th century, the palace was home to the last generation of Giovanni brothers, each with his own unique passion: a renowned music producer, a gifted writer, and a successful businessman. Their lives filled the palace with music, stories, and vibrant gatherings, creating a legacy of art and culture within its walls.
But in 2019, everything changed. The once lively palace now stands eerily silent, as if frozen in time. The family, still relatively young, vanished without a trace, leaving behind all their belongings. The town buzzed with rumors and legends, but the true reason for their sudden departure remains a mystery.
When we first entered the palace, we were struck by the eerie feeling that the family had just stepped out, planning to return at any moment. Personal photos, cherished belongings, and exquisite antiques remain untouched, as if waiting for their owners. Most astonishingly, we discovered the complete recording studio of one of the brothers, with instruments and equipment left exactly as they were.
Join us as we delve into the intriguing history and hidden secrets of the Giovanni Palace, searching for answers to the mystery that led to its sudden abandonment.

Hey dear Lesley, what an extraordinary Italian palace, you could explore together with Danny! - I especially loved seeing these beautiful and incredibly ornate ceilings. They are so typical for huge Italian mansions. - In some of the rooms were also very luxurious chandeliers visible, especially in one room a chandelier was probably even manufactured by the Murano glass company. - There was also a lot of remarkably valuable furniture visible in some of the rooms. - Of course it was so sad to see the destructions and mess caused by vandals! Such a shame! - I also loved these statues beautifully decorating the outside of the building. - Well, what has happened to the families, who used to live there? A question, probably remaining a mystery, as I assume! - So touching to see the enormous amount of personal items, - just left back there, forgotten forever! Like so incredibly many photos from different time periods showing family life back in the active days. Danny was again doing a great job with his camera and his remarks/conversations with you! And - I so much loved listening to the beautiful background music! - A real dessert of this anyways amazing explore was that really beautiful still completely intact chapel, which is attached to the palace. Wonderful to see! - Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful and fascinating explore with us, dear Lesley and Danny! Peace, many hugs and kindest regards from very warm and sunny Switzerland.

Another marvelous exploration. I love the Italian series. This one was an unusual place very elegant. I'm so disappointed that the owners decided to paint over the grand Italian art that was on the walls under all that paint. Most rooms I'd say would probably put us in a state of awe. Like Danny said I want to see it! But as you know we can't unless someone restored it to its former glory what a shame. It felt like there was more to see and we can't! thank you so much Lesley and Danny for another fantastic exploration. Bravo'

First just let me say it, love your videos. We as a family enjoy watching you both finding beautiful forgotten mansions. What I heard you always said is that "it is exactly how they left it" or "the hat still hanging here from the chair like they just left ". I DON'T THINK YOU REALIZED that all the places you visited had been ransacked and vandalized a long time before you put a foot in it. Most places will not look like that. One thing is just decaying and another burglarized.. unfortunaly for the most places you showed, it looks like both, decayed-burlarized and some even vandalized. People take what they want or find valuable and leave a mess behind it. Sadly, scavengers and thieves often know about these properties, and one way or another, they get in and destroy what's left by the owners.

I think Leslie and Danny seem to get to the locations long before other urban explorers get there. Theres quite a few places nobody else has filmed that they have. Tgats why they don't disclose the address on mail etc. Plus they're not naive. I think he just tries to pretend it hasn't been ransacked before or whatever because upsets them quite a bit. Theres videos where after they film they put it on timelaps of them straightening up the place.

Lesley and Danny, I think this was the most beautiful home yet. The picture from 2019, perhaps something to do with the virus, came about. Hopefully, some family wasn't caught up in the sickness or worse. Thank you both for showing such respect when exploring. The ceilings were beautiful, and the church . Thank you again, Lesley and Danny. I so enjoy your videos.

The lights hanging in every room are so nice and worth a lot of money. You cant buy that kind of things anywhere today. I hope someone comes along and restores this place. Its worth this to keep it going. Thank you again Leslie and Danny. You guys do such a great job bringing these homes to us to see. You two keep safe and we will keep watching for your new shows.

This seems really strange. I don't mean to be the "crazy conspiracy lady" but this is really odd! It's one thing for someone to abandon a place; quite another when one leaves behind all of these family heirloom photos and other items, such as the musical instruments. For me...mob hit. lol Or perhaps witness protection program comes to mind? Either way, this was an INCREDIBLE home, and as someone else said, it could easily be repaired and revived to its former glory, I think! Thanks for the great videos.

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, the small to middle-sized nobility and middle-upper classes would adorn their existing apartments, palaces, country houses, etc., with frescoes and ornamental floor tiles, in lieu of building a new building outright, which would’ve been much costlier. This is a rather common feature in a lot of homes from the era, particularly in southern Italy. Sicily, Puglia, Campania, and rural Latium are some areas that have this as a very common characteristic.

Ciao Lesley and Danny, this beautiful Italian Palace is so worth saving. The decay is at a minimal, I have a sadness in my heart as we walked through each room, the memories in pictures that were left behind, if anyone can get inside you would think if the family was able or wanted to, they would collect at least the pictures. The brick curved ceiling is called a barrel vault ceiling. The Romans/Italianians invented it. It is a Superior construction element meant to last many centuries. You find them in basements and grottos as underlayment and support for the house above. Correct! Part of the original house most likely the oldest part. Thanks for viewing. A gentle reminder to please show hand carved wooden furniture. It could be from a long ago master artist craftsman that we could identify later. Bravo

I loved this pristine, immaculate, exquisite, gorgeous property!!! Everything from the natural wooden doors to the ornate, breathtaking ceilings were all of unmatched beauty & elegance!!! I can only imagine the high end, dream of a life the people who had the good fortune to grow up in this place, had!!! I’m sure that privilege, as with poverty, has it’s hardships…but a different lifestyle indeed👍 I’m sure that it became increasingly difficult to maintain the upkeep of this phenomenal property! It breaks my heart 💔however, to see the valuable, usable items left behind when they could have been sold or given to charity 😞😢😰 Another heartbreaking aspect s all of the photographs of memorabilia that are lost forever 😞😰😢 To see the clothing left behind, must have been a tragity!!! However, it’s still sad that with all of their family members, one did not step up to sell, donate or gift to museums or libraries, the priceless treasures in this house!!! It made me sad to see how the beautiful walls were painted over😞😰😢 The mansion could be saved..I would hope & pray that someone is able to resurrect this historical masterpiece of a property 👍🙏💕 Thank you Leslie & Danny for sharing this wonderful adventure with us…I loved it 👍🙏♥️

Virtu is a Classical and medieval origins Virtù, an Italian word meaning "virtue" or "power", is derived from the Latin virtus (lit. "manliness" but for a sense of 'man' closer to 'gentleman' than 'masculine' or 'male'). It describes the qualities desirable for a man, as opposed to vizio (vice). In the Italian language, the term virtù is historically related to the Greek concept of aretḗ, the Latin virtus, and Medieval Catholic virtues, e.g. the Seven virtues. Thus Machiavelli's use of the term is linked to the concept of virtue ethics. Or an early In 18th-century England virtu meant a love for and knowledge of the fine arts. It is hardly used now, except in the phrase 'object of virtu', meaning a curio.

素晴らしい素敵な邸宅ですね 何があったのかしら!誰も居なくなってまだ数年雨漏りなどないので戻ってきて欲しいがまた家族が戻ることなく朽ちてゆくのでしょうか😢 残して欲しいですね。
