Abandoned £500 Porsche 924. Will it Run And Drive?

It feels like I should call my channel 'Harry buys terrible cars for £500' 🤦‍♂️
This neglected Porsche 924 project has been off the road for some time and isn't looking too good. in this video I see if I gave get it running and driving, and take a good look at how much work this will need to get it back on the road! Let me know what you guys think? is it a bit of a basket case?
MINI UPDATE!! unfortunately I'm still waiting on some paperwork for the mini Cooper project, so I can't get the license plates to be able to take it for an MOT.

Get the brakes sorted before you even try to drive any further. Car rolls, runs, has a clutch and changes gear. That's much more than you've had on some of your other vehicles.

Dude I just love you. Taking time to get one of these 924s running again. I love these little cars. Had one in the late 80's. I could drive down the road hard in first rev it all the way, snatch second , turn the wheels sharp and spin a 180 back the other direction every time. Was it really fast? No. Would it handle the road? Hell yeah. It loved corners. Totaled it out. Wind up on the roof. Damn awesome car. Yes, these were every bit a Porsche.

Pure genius. Removing the starter motor is a heavy duty immobiliser tactic. Red cars are always subject to fading but red is a great colour for a 924. Nice to see that interior and not black and white abomination. You got a good deal on this one if the rust damage is as little as you say. I think those wheels alone could be worth what you paid for the car.

🤣🤣 yea I'm not a fan of the black and white interior! That's true I've heard that even the bolts for the turbo wheels are very hard to get hold of. 🤞 I'll be able to make it roadworthy.

Ah - thought this was going to be another project but I guess you have enough of those on the go. I guess you’ve sorted the brakes by now but I had similar symptoms to that on a truck once and it was a bad flexi line - it just ballooned out under pressure. Felt firm at first then went ‘nope’ and swelled up and that was enough for the pedal to drop. Those alloys look exactly like the factory ones on an ‘87 Cavalier I had years ago. Scrapped it but kept the alloys and put on an Astramax van I had. That a Vitesse I saw in the background…? 👍🏻

Just waiting on the paperwork to come back from the DVLA so I can get some license plates and take it for its mot, unfortunately you can't mot a car withouts number plates
