I just took the cab off my 1986 K10 Shortbed. Just a tip, put some weight in the floor of the cab to balance the forward weight. That way you don't have to man handle it to keep it level. Excited to see what you do with it! I have a short video of me tipping my cab on it's back so i can rhino line the floor, If you want a laugh. Great content, i'm a new sub and fan for sure!

I have a 79 GMC Step Side. It has a small block. Those engines look tiny in the engine compartment. At one time I had a big block for it but a friend wanted it and I used the cash to make home improvements.

Awesome truck buddy to build for sure!!! I’m actually building a 1981 K30 GMC that was bought new by a local fire department for the chief to haul water to field fires!! Has under 100,000 original miles on it and it also is running the SM465 manual transmission and the 205 transfer case and 4.10 gears with a Detroit locker in the rear!! It is a SRW also and not a dually!!! I’ve been looking for a 8’ box for mine with dual square gas doors on the box because mine is a dual tank setup!! I do have a 1973-1979 8’ box on it Wright now that I would sell someone if they are looking for a decent box for a square body truck??? I definitely can’t wait to see more on the build for sure!!!
