In case youre interested in the rest: After the biological father identifies Tana, the birth mother, chicago PD tracks the family down and they are greeted by Tana’s family, which inform the police she has moved overseas. They say due to being orthodox jews they couldnt deal with the scandal so they arranged for her to drop out of high school and found a midwife to help Tana through pregnancy and delivery in secrecy. The midwife also managed to find another family who really wanted a baby and were willing to take the baby in no-questions-asked. Chicago PD finds the midwife which then confirms the story and gives out the adoptive family’s info. They get a warrant to search The adoptive family’s home, but they claim to have never gotten the baby in the first place, that the midwife never gave them the baby. Police looks into the midwife and finds out she received 20k the day of Tanas birth. Upon questioning the midwife refuses the claims of never giving the baby to the adoptive parents and says the 20k came from Tanas Family. 10k for the secret home-birth and 10k in hushmoney/blackmailing (since she is an illegal immigrant and also unlicensed). She gets booked. Tana comes back and says she didnt have a choice in giving the baby up for adoption since her parents threatened to exclude her forever, after showing compassion she is ruled out as a suspect. After running a background check on the adoptive family once more they find out the dad used to work at the place which gave away the duffel bags the baby was found in. This time around they are not home when the house comes to be searched by police again. They flag them down at a gas station and the man admits to the crime. The dad claims to have gotten drunk and by his sons requests, who is obsessed with space, takes him and the baby at 2 AM to see the lunar eclipse, but then he falls asleep and once he wakes up the baby is unresponsive. Both parents get arrested, at one point while one of the detectives was taking care of the adoptive family’s older child, the little boy tells him he woke up at 2am by himself and took the baby outside to see the eclipse with him without his parents knowledge. The dad is questioned and denies the story trying to protect his son from the accident the boy caused. Tana’s mother is arrested for kidnapping since she gave the baby illegally away, the midwife is deported, Tana gets to meet her baby for the first time at the hospital (the baby survived) and decides to keep her and fight in court for her. What happened to the adoptive parents is unclear.

And with the likelihood that he'd have marks on his throat from the choke, and either a recording of the room with the incident OR lack thereof, he could make a pretty penalty in damages. I mean making it a civil case would benefit him while also acknowledging that they were doing it because they were finding a murderer. Here's the run down of what happened since this was a more complicated case: So guy gets girl from family A pregnant. The family didn't want people knowing their family had a teenage pregnancy so the mother of the baby dropped out of school until she gave birth. The babies grandmother is a horrid person by the way. Her parents then gave the baby to a midwife in training and was paid £20,000 to bring the baby to family B who wanted to adopt it. She lied about a lot because she's an illegal immigrant and didn't want to be deported The family the baby was given to consists of a mother, father and i think 5 year old boy. One night the boy wanted to watch the stars or the eclipse and took the baby out where he accidentally left her. The parents of this family tried to escape and when they were caught the parents kept insisting it was the father of the family who left her out to protect his son, but eventually the son confessed. Ultimately the maternal grandmother from family A and the midwife were arrested and punished and the kid had to go to therapy. The baby recovered in hospital against all odds while being treated by Dr Manning and her fate is left up in the air, with the mother of the baby saying she'll do anything to get her baby back

So its easier to find the dad than finding the mom? If the guy called for a lawyer he'd be dead or voight would be spiderman in the cell.

Someone else said the mother’s parents shipped her out of the country as soon as she gave birth. So in this case, yes

@@Nevertoleave but that means the father's dna is on record? Here its common for adoption mom's dna is on record not dad's unless they both acknowledge parenthood, etc.

Heres a solution: look for any tags on the duffle bag , find the shop or whatever , ask about who has bout the duffle bag ,get a description of the person who bought it , find the persons location, question them and look for any slip ups in the questioning. I guess thats what i would've done .
