My mom used to work here in the hosiery department. Loved Peanut Butter Heaven, and the talking Christmas Tree was cool on the holidays.

My very first girlfriend in high school worked there. Friends and I would skateboard in the parking lot.

It appalls me that good old buildings get torn down and new big box temples of crap get put up in place.

You did good, that used to be the upscale shopping center in the area.

Yeah. Now There's a whole lot of emptiness. I hate how another cornfield was tore up to build another Bergner's at grand prairie.

@@mallaholicretailadventures I agree, I can remember when that was farm/horse used at Grand prairie

That's a beautiful building!! We really should be keeping a hold of older buildings as long as we can not be trashing perfectly good buildings... darn it prob some rich guy at the top... Whatever though people for ya. My Sears when JAX Outdoor Gear was moving in, they had the Sears Auto Center door open a lot... The key difference tho, they did not tear down the building. I'll add, that'd be something to have your house up against a store like that.

@@seanhogan5652 Lord and Taylor was on par with Marshall Field's, but their sales were fabulous, especially the % off the last markdown sales.

I hate seeing vacant spaces in malls specially if there are several small ones, or big anchor ones or even both. Brings a sense of melancholy to me, and it’s scary to see it too, because for some reason they turn off the closest lights near them so as to say don’t come closer••••••••••••••••••••they closed Disney Store and Cinnabon recently as well.
