What a amazing piece of history! Nice to see that it hasn't been vandalized!👍

Hopefully it stays preserved for many years to come. This is a neat place!

I'm guessing vandals are too lazy to go all the way out there. Live in vegas myself, and love exploring places that look like man hasn't been in years. Usually still find human trash, even if it looks 20years old.
@DesertFernweh5 жыл бұрын
@@LadyJesterSurfer your correct. The spots that get vandalized are the ones close to major ATV trails. There use to be some awesome old buliding near Laughlin that are wrecked because of douches bags. People that are willing to hike a bit are generally decent human being. If you want to know some cool spots in Southern NV. IM me.

Just bought a 2017 Tacoma TRD getting lift kit installed by Toyota this week. Live up here in Cottonwood az, but would like to explore some of the areas you frequent ( Only during the winter in the southern half of the state )

Did you do a video on the castle Dome museum ?
@azoffroad_net3 жыл бұрын
I've visited the museum quite a while back, but wasn't making videos like this at the time. You can see some pictures from our trip here: azoffroad.net/castle-dome-city. I hope to return to the museum one day, it is a really neat place!

Thank you, sir! Your video on the Big Eye is what opened me up to your great channel and mine exploration. Hopefully you can make it back out to the Big Eye and some other mines around Arizona in the future!

To you both: Yes, Frank was the impetus to go out there myself a couple of years ago. But that was before I was heavy into video.

@@W7DSYI was an impetus? No one‘s ever called me an impetus before. Almost sounds derogatory. LOL

When I was there, I teased Frank from Exploring Abandoned Mines & Unusual Places by placing a "Frank Was Here" sign and then sent him a photo.

I could not imagine what life was like in such a rough country so far from towns without any machines relying on horses or mules.
@seeno17 жыл бұрын
This isn't a rhetorical question or anything, but what are your apprehensions about going through the mine.
@azoffroad_net7 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of concerns with abandoned mines in general -- unstable ground, possible for collapse, dangerous gasses in the air, wild animals living in the mine, among other things. Because I was by myself in a really remote area I didn't feel like it was worth the risk. If I had been with another person and had some extra emergency gear, lights, mask, ropes, I would have gone further.

I would imagine there is a lot left behind. The surrounding terrain is rugged so not many people get back in this area.
