No thank you for making it. I am drawn to abandoned places, your coffee shop looks so real it feels like I could walk in and explore, the music is perfect - adds to the atmosphere. Are you going to make more videos on this project? xx

Yes I will keep making videos on this project until it is completed. You can find my Abandoned Coffee Shop playlist through my channel and see all the videos I have made on it thus far. I think I have kept the same background music for each one. We'll call it the ACS's theme music :)

So I saw you do the same thing with the underground tunnel home, but here is where your technique started huh? Looks great BYW. So I am a semi retires tabletop RPG Game Master and some of your miniatures looks like something I would have liked to use as props back in my D&D days. It is also very inspireing and wants me to go back to be part of that again. Nice! :-)
@BentleyHouseMinis4 жыл бұрын
Yep this is where I first used that technique😉 So when the Arty Games app popped up with that prompt I could immediately see the tunnel in my head lol! I love watching table top gaming channels like Black Magic Craft. I think both categories of miniatures can learn a lot from each other👍

I always have a problem in 1/12 scale, making the water drips look small enough. I am considering using an alcohol spray and a tiny injection needle to make the drips come out smaller. What do you think?

@Allende2424 жыл бұрын
These videos are great - I am working on an entire abandoned house and so I really appreciate these, thank you! I do have a question - can you talk a little bit about the structure underneath the wall paper. You said you created it from "pre-cut wood pieces" and poster board. Where did you find the wood pieces? How did you attach everything and then also, how did you paint the poster board? Would this work in a 1:12 house? Thanks again!
@BentleyHouseMinis4 жыл бұрын
The wood pieces can be found at hobby stores. Usually near the railroad or model building sections. They are long thing skinny sticks (basswood) you can buy one at a time. I just cut them to size and laid them out similar to how they space 2x4 in real construction. They are sandwiched between the foam board and the poster board and I just ripped the poster board away to reveal the beams where I wanted them exposed. I didn't end up painting the poster board... I glued the wall paper on top of it. I hope that helps! And yes this works for 1:12

will that cutter work for the white foam board (from Dollar tree) or is it to thick 😏
@BentleyHouseMinis5 жыл бұрын
It might work to score the material for you but I don't think it will cut all the way through. I wish it would though!

This is fabulous Ara! I can't wait to see what you come up with next. I had a thought about maybe using some Yellow Ochre (or Yellow Oxide or Indian Yellow - one of the warm yellows anyway, with a hint of brown) on the wallpaper to suggest nasty old nicotine-stains from years of stinky smoke sticking to it. What do you think? I'm really gonna have to get my craft studio in order soon, 'creativity withdrawal' is causing me to live vicariously through other crafters. lol
@BentleyHouseMinis7 жыл бұрын
Joanne Carroll great idea! Oil paints work great for that if you have them. They don't add extra wrinkles in the paper where you don't want them (like water based acrylics)... unless you want wrinkles! As in this case wrinkles would be no problem! Lol. Glad you enjoyed!

Hello again! I have another question - would you have a suggestion on how to do walls like this, but with wood underneath, instead of brick? I'm working on an abandoned dollhouse, but it is made from wood, not brick. Thanks!
@BentleyHouseMinis4 жыл бұрын
Do you mean wood siding? Or wood instead of drywall? If you mean the wood instead of dry wall I would highly suggest this stream: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3u5n2ekdtmZhdU It's a ceiling and not a wall but may give you some ideas.
